I could never give this product a truly accurate review as I can only turn the speakers up about 1/6th of the total volume because of my pets. However the bass is excellent and I appreciate being able to adjust that from the main speaker themselves, and the sound quality of the LR speakers is pretty...

Great Sounds and Bass at reasonable price!!!

I connected this speaker system to my new computer and they sound great with nice bass. There is a bass control knob and the subwoofer which sounds impactful. The sound is balanced for jazz, classical music and some pop music that I listen to.

I neglected to read the detailed specs. 10% total harmonic distortion is noticeable, that slightly gravely not quite crystal clear sound. I regret the purchase. These speaker systems are becoming like the car stereos of yesteryear. 400 watts per channel of power!

Very poor quality speaker system

At first I thought the subwoofer was not working, but the speakers themselves had too much noise and sounded like a very low quality laptop speaker. After much diagnostics I realized it was the speaker system that was lousy.

Muddy sound and buzzing

If you're going to go for a Logitech speaker system spend the extra money for the Z623. I've had them before and they sound great. I had them for about 3 or 4 years before the cable started losing connection to it's circuit board.

The mid was strong and the very low end was nice; Controls were simple and clean; Knobs felt smooth and accurate

The highs and everything inbetween the low and high was muddy sounding except for the direct center of the hertz range; There was also a loud buzzing sound when no sound was being played; Hertz range of 90-120 was too punchy; Clarity quickly fell off at 600hz and higher and stayed at a poor level.

Decent for computer use, but audio quality has holes

I needed a decent set of speaker for my computer and did not want to spend much. I just wanted decent sound with decent bass. These were a good compromise, but they lack some mid and high end response.

Amazing Item Amazing Price

Overall i previously owned one of these for my own use. I decided to buy this one for a friends birthday and me and him were both extremely satisfied. Comes in brand new condition not even a scratch, and the sound quality is amazing even the bass is.

I'm going to have to give the Logitech Z523's credit where due. While they don't have the high frequency detail that my older Altec-Lansing's did, they have a much richer midrange that mates better with the sub-woofer.

- Rich midrange mates well with the subwoofer; - High frequency detail is present; but not pronounced/over-emphasized; - Excellent value for $100 on sale; worth the $120 regular price; - I have yet to overload the subwoofer

- RF shielding on right speaker isn't very good -- I had to move the right speaker over six inches from the LED monitor to eliminate a buzz/hum from it; - Cables are a little short; even for setting up on a desktop -- I have not an inch to spare; - Midrange doesn't keep up at higher volumes; leading...

Good noise, Well worth 5 stars.

Surprisingly good sound from these speakers. The sub woofer makes it work, but the quality of the build is reflected in the sound. It's not fantastic but it's better than expected, good base tones and decent gaming noises too.

Thumpin' Sub

These little guys are so powerful, they vibrate the mirror in the bathroom 2 rooms away. Or maybe I just have them turned up too loud ;-)
