Logitech K580 - Multi-device Wireless Keyboard for the Multitasking warrior

To say I spend a ridiculous amounts of time typing on one form of device or another would be an understatement. On average I would have a minimum of two laptops and two phones on my desk, usually more.

Logitech Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard K580 - Grey 920-009210 review

Chrome OS can’t get no respect. While it’s a perfectly serviceable and surprisingly capable operating system, it has to adapt to a world of keyboards made for Windows. Well, no more! Logitech’s K580 is its first made specifically for Chrome.
Pros:
  • Perfect key bindings for Chrome, Long-lasting, Thin and travels well
Cons:
  • Device tray doesn't add value, Tricky to use with Windows, Keys feel okay

Logitech K580 Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard Chrome OS Edition Review

Despite offering rare priority to Chrome OS, Logitech's K580 Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard is arguably more useful for laptop- and phone-toting travelers than for Chromebook users. Sometimes all you need is a basic keyboard. Logitech's K580 Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard ($49.99) and companion mouse, the M355 Wireless Mouse for Chrome OS, were created to pair up with Google's Pixelbook line of laptops (and have the "Made for Google" badge to prove it). The K580 is one of the few third-party keyboards optimized for Chromebooks, with the familiar top row of browser- and system-control keys, plus dedicated Google Assistant and search/menu buttons. It also has a built-in, trough-style stand for an Android smartphone and keys for switching its input between Chromebook and phone. In fact, given that its best assets are its portability and battery life, one might argue that it's a better companion for a mobile device than for a Chromebook or Chromebox. I'd still rather have a mechanical keyboard at home, but think of it as a handy travel keyboard that happens to play well with Chrome OS. Androids and Chromebooks First The K580 is novel but unassuming. You mig...
Pros:
  • Light and compact
  • Chrome OS layout
  • Smartphone tray
  • Dual wireless channels
Cons:
  • No Caps Lock or function keys
  • Scissor-switch keys can't compare to mechanical keyboards' typing feel
  • Replaceable batteries

Just what I needed

I have Parkinson's disease and am finding using the smartphone keyboard increasingly difficult, so I bought this keyboard to use with my Smartphone and computer. The design and keyboard action are good and the switchability is easy between the computer and phone. It's early days but seems to be a great product and it would be great if this type of product sale as standard with a high end computer

Logitech Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard K580 - Grey 920-009210 review

Trying to find the right keyboard today is never simple or straightforward, not because there are so few top options to pick and choose from but because there are so many. At the same time, Logitech is responsible for making some of the most popular keyboards on the market right now.

Quick and Quiet Typing

I live in a regional area, so it's pretty difficult to find good quality tech in a local shop. I read the reviews about this keyboard, and was delighted to find out that this keyboard does indeed perform both quickly and quietly, with minimal key travel for speed and fatigue reduction. Love it.

Exactly what we needed!

Bought one in white and a second in black for high school students to use at home in conjunction with their laptops which were raised to provide correct sight lines to screens. Light, easy set-up, great key-touch response and quite. Paired with a Logitech Pebble mouse. Have used Logitech products previously and they never disappoint.

Alright if you are not an archer,

And you don't use the arrows.... Hahaha get it. Nice feel to the keys, general layout and spacing felt similar to a mac with a nicer texture on the keyboard. Multi device worked well and was easy to pair with the unifying receiver and Bluetooth. But the arrow keys are tiny, like sesame seads. Or watermelon seed... So your spreadsheet is tough to traverse.
