We felt a little like Goldilocks as we collected information for our webcam reviews – some offer too much, some offer too little – but Logitech's HD Webcam C525 is just about right. This unit has a collection of useful features that don't push the price or the physical size into a cumbersome range.
The video effects are so much fun to use and offer a nice way to personalize your communications
This camera offers many visual effects but no audio effects; and it lacks wide-screen capture
It is a bit fuzzier than the Logitech cameras with the Carl Zeiss Optics, but I guess they have to save on something to get the price down.
Good quality image; Works well across all lighting conditions; Well designed stand
No tripod mount; Slightly fuzzy in normal room lighting
Works flawlessly with Windows 8.1 and Skype. Picture and audio quality are great and so is its portability.
