We felt a little like Goldilocks as we collected information for our webcam reviews – some offer too much, some offer too little – but Logitech's HD Webcam C525 is just about right. This unit has a collection of useful features that don't push the price or the physical size into a cumbersome range.

Logitech is now selling the C525 as a replacement for the C510 webcam. In reality, though, it's basically just a clone of the previous model, with the same 720p sensor and a flip-out stand.

Got mine on sale for 40. Video quality is good and sound doesnt seem to be an issue EXCEPT when using logitech's video chat service. (works great on facebooks video chat). Still great for the price.

Worked right out of the box; Plugged it in; Windows 7 saw it and downloaded the drivers; Done; I was debating between this and the C920; Couldn't justify double the price for 1080p instead of 720p; My face isn't pretty enough for 1080p; And chances are, neither is yours.

It's not free I guess

This is the second one of these I have bought; one's at home, the other my office. No one has complained about the sound or the video quality. It seems fairly sensitive to low lighting conditions. I like the light that comes on to remind you, "You're on the air!

The highest resolution you can use for Video Chat on Skype, Windows Live Messenger, etc. is 720p, and this Logitech C525 does it very well. Clear, crisp picture, accurate color, reasonable quality in low-light, and a good microphone are all strong points here.

I am probably NOT the best reviewer for this item because I don't really know anything about them. I researched them a bit and bought this one after having a need for SKYPE with an associate in my business. It has worked VERY well for this, and I am happy with his ability to see me and hear me.

This is a great Web Cam especially for the price. I looked at Logitech's table that compares all of their Web Cameras, and I chose this one. It's excellent. It does take a bit of bandwidth for the software to properly operate, but I've been able to work that out. This is a good choice.

Possibly the best laptop accessory I have ever purchased. Had it out of the box and up and running in minutes, literally. Was on my first Skype call within ten minutes of receiving it. The image & sound quality are spot-on. Can't go wrong.

i purchased thiss webcam because i wanted people to see me better it is a great camera great sound and picture quality autofocus also works very well the only thing i dont find perfect is the fact that in skype it only shows widescreen when internet is fast but i guess that is a problem of skype not
