This is the second one of these I have bought; one's at home, the other my office. No one has complained about the sound or the video quality. It seems fairly sensitive to low lighting conditions. I like the light that comes on to remind you, "You're on the air!

The highest resolution you can use for Video Chat on Skype, Windows Live Messenger, etc. is 720p, and this Logitech C525 does it very well. Clear, crisp picture, accurate color, reasonable quality in low-light, and a good microphone are all strong points here.

I am probably NOT the best reviewer for this item because I don't really know anything about them. I researched them a bit and bought this one after having a need for SKYPE with an associate in my business. It has worked VERY well for this, and I am happy with his ability to see me and hear me.

i purchased thiss webcam because i wanted people to see me better it is a great camera great sound and picture quality autofocus also works very well the only thing i dont find perfect is the fact that in skype it only shows widescreen when internet is fast but i guess that is a problem of skype not

inexpensive, does what it needs to, pretty good picture quality and very little lag in refreshing the image. painless P&P installation, is instantly recognized by Skype / W7. rating of 4/5 is because it's just a webcam, it was never meant to do exceptional stuff in the first place.

Bought to Skype with GF while away on business, does its job very well. Auto focuses and follows their face when they move, but that feature can be turned off very easily by someone who doesn't know how computers work (her), so that's a plus.

I HAVE THE C510 MODEL AND I AM GIVING ALL FIVE STARS TO THE C525 MODEL. THERE'S NO UPDATE FOR WINDOWS 8 FOR MY MODEL YET, SINCE BOTH CAMERAS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE AUTOFOCUS THAT THE C510 DOESN'T HAVE.

These are very good cameras. We are currently using two of them. All of our computers are using Linux Operating systems and these cameras perform superbly with Linux.

I was debating if this camera was worth paying more than the C270 model which was cheaper, but after installing it and using it on Skype I'm glad I paid extra for it. It's well worth the money for the more pixels, portability of being able to fold and carry it around, and another great feature not...

The Logitech Webcam works so good. The picture quality is very good. I especially like the wide angle focus I receive when communicating with family and friends through "faceBook". The price is well within my budget, and at this price i received a whole lot more.
