I am probably NOT the best reviewer for this item because I don't really know anything about them. I researched them a bit and bought this one after having a need for SKYPE with an associate in my business. It has worked VERY well for this, and I am happy with his ability to see me and hear me.

Logitech has launched two new HD recording webcams, namely the C310 and the C525. We received the C525 for testing, which features 720p video recording, a compact folding stand and new Logitech webcam software that offers entertaining photo and video effects.

It is a bit fuzzier than the Logitech cameras with the Carl Zeiss Optics, but I guess they have to save on something to get the price down.

I was debating if this camera was worth paying more than the C270 model which was cheaper, but after installing it and using it on Skype I'm glad I paid extra for it. It's well worth the money for the more pixels, portability of being able to fold and carry it around, and another great feature not...

I was amazed at the quality and resolution that the Logitech C525 webcam is compared to my last one -- night and day -- it was very easy to set up and use on win 7 64bit i5 8gig desktop The mic on this is very good with no feedback. The software that comes with it does the job.

This is the best webcam you can get in this price range. Also I trust Logitech's build quality for webcams. I Skype with my friends and family abroad and this has served the purpose well. Very good picture and audio quality. Buy with confidence.
