Ended up buying three of these so I could talk with family members while working away from home. So far everyone is happy with them. Cheap and effective, hard to beat.

These work great! First there is next to no installation if you have Windows 7 or above; No need for a install CD, just plug them in and Windows will optionally update them automatically; ZERO bloatware (a problem in the past with Logitech et al).

The only minor con about it: for the paranoid of us; knowing that there is a possibility any internet/wired camera or microphone can be remotely hijacked through targeted malware attacks..(although Big brother would get awfully bored listening/watching me).

I am using this product from last December. Using it for video calling through Skype. The picture quality is very good and sharp. There is no need of a separate microphone because its inbuilt mic is very good quality.
