I'm comparing this to a Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000, which was also on sale for $10 recently. I got this one because it was on sale at the same price but sported 1024 X 768 resolution, a slight upgrade for the same price.

This webcam is cheap to buy, but really wasn't worth it. There were many times when I would record a video and the words wouldn't match up to my mouth moving. It was very annoying. I had to end up recording the videos over. I only had the webcam about 10 months and it doesn't work anymore.
