Worse than the c920 in too many ways

This webcam actually has WORSE low light performance than the c920, and far more ISO. It also has a feature called RealLight 3, which cannot be disabled and will apply a post-process filter in attempt to correct the light. In reality, it smooths over too many details and flattens the light out. If you don't have studio lighting, this camera will look bad, much worse than a c920 due to a noisy image. If you DO have studio lighting, this camera will produce a cleaner image, but you will likely have a washed out colours that look like your shooting in the wrong colour space due to RealLight 3. It has a myriad of technical glitches and bugs which I won't go into. Even after 8 hours of fiddling with settings I'm not happy with the image, and the c920 remains more consistent in quality across most ranges of use.

Review: Logitech's new C920 HD Pro Webcam

These days there are so many products that claim to be ‘HD' and ‘Pro' and really what that means can be all over the map. I always chuckle a little when mediocre products are given the ‘Pro' title just to justify a price hike from the next lower model with minimal added quality.

Logitech c920

When I tested the older Logitech HD Pro Webcam c910, I was impressed with the clarity of the audio recordings. The same is true of the c920; you can't beat the stereo microphone configuration, and the c920's noise suppression worked well enough to deaden the sound of an office fan, if not completely...

Crisp, well balanced video recordings; True 1080p video chats with Skype HD; Clear audio recording in stereo

Lower than expected detail levels in video; Logitech Vid HD software is clumsy and superfluous

Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam Review

Back in 1994 when i first got my first internet access (via a 33.6k modem) video calling was almost impossible to have not only due to very slow download/upload speeds but also because at the time there were only just a couple of chat programs compatible with the very few webcams available.

- Build Quality; - Audio/Video Quality; - Full HD 1080p (Recording And Calls/Skype; - 15 Megapixel Stills; - Stereo Sound Via Dual Noise Canceling Mics; - Base With Tripod Support; - Dual LEDs; - Design; - Bundled Software

- Price (For Some; - Occasional White Balance Issue

HD Pro Webcam c920

Very sharp and clear images. Works well in very low light, but I had to manually adjust the brightness and contrast to get the best picture. Great color and tone range under bright light.

Excellent quality image; H.264 capable; Works well across all lighting conditions; Carl Zeiss Optics

Couldn't get an image in my 3rd party software with current Logitech drivers installed

Logitech c920 1080p HD Webcam

A foray into the world of webcams will reveal a diverse population of various shapes, sizes, and functions. In recent years, the need for an external webcam, for "average Joe consumers" has dramatically dropped due to the inclusion of one in just about every mobile device made today.

Fantastic lens; simple design and usability

Framerate can drop during video calls

Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920

This outstanding web cam from Logitech finds its place on our list for good reason given its number of exceptional features. First of all, it uses a sixteen megapixel, software-enhanced lens with auto-focus and automatic light correction for better imaging in dim or excessively lit conditions.

If you enjoy making your own videos for youtube then one of the biggest challenges is deciding on the best video camera. Do you use your laptops built in Webcam, a dedicated stand-alone web-cam or a dSLR
