The T420 met my needs for a portable system that can handle word processing, spreadsheets and general web surfing. This is a refurbished system, but the one that I received was packaged well and looked like it had been well taken care of in its former life.

LENOVO T420 INTEL CORE i5-2540M 2.60GHZ 4GB RAM 900X1600 SCREEN
Loaded with Win 7 Pro and ssd drive this unit is very fast and boots in 15 sec. the high resolution screen is a plus. I use like a desktop so don't know about battery life.

Review Lenovo Thinkpad T420 Notebook
Apart from the expected performance increase due to the new processor generation , many things tried and tested things have been maintained. This is just as true for the case as for the pre-installed, convenient ThinkVantage tools. Slight modifications and upgrades can be found in the connectivity .

With Sandy Bridge-grade speed, great battery life, durability features, and other goodies, the ThinkPad T420 is arguably today's best business thin-and-light. (But yes, it's still basic black.)
Pros:

- Small touch pad
- No Blu-ray option or USB 3.0 ports

It is a very good laptop. It is also the laptop of the year. It has water cooling system which makes it very cool. It is very portable, very good for travelling and business.

Lenovo ThinkPad T420 Intel Core i5 2.5GHz 320GB 14-inch Laptop Computer (Refurbished)
It came with zero issues out of the box. Windows runs well if you like windows. I'm currently dual booting linux alongside which runs with no problem. If I had the money I would buys second one.
