Lenovo is now offering the new ThinkPad P53 with the high-end GPU Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 that is usually reserved for larger devices. The cooling solution inside of the Lenovo workstation reaches its limits, which negatively affects the CPU performance.
Pros:
- rigid, well-made chassis
- very good GPU performance
- excellent keyboard
- lethargic fan control
- bright & matte 1080p display
- good connectivity
- decent maintenance options
- highly customizable configurations
- extensive warranty
Cons:
- CPU performance reduced during combined stress
- lower-powered 80-watt version of the Quadro RTX 5000 (without being labeled as such or at all)
- poor webcam
- mediocre speakers
- not WWAN ready (no preinstalled antennas)
