"Killzone is back with a bang!"

The Killzone series is back on PS4 with the release day title 'Killzone Shadow Fall'. I have been playing this game for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. If you are a fan of the series and like me have completed the previous titles then this game is a must-have!
Pros:
  • Great gameplay
  • Amazing Graphics
Cons:
  • Low replay-ability

Killzone Shadow Fall: Intercept DLC Review

It's a massive shame that so few people are playing Intercept so soon after release – and that the number is only going to go down – because Intercept is excellent, a diamond finally cut from the rough potential of Killzone Shadow Fall.

Killzone Shadow Fall: Intercept review

Horde mode: the enduring last gasp of the ailing shooter. It gives the multiplayer team the chance to leverage the AI of a campaign into its own mode. No need to worry about weapon balance or spawn camping or any of that other nightmarish stuff that separates the CODs from the dead fish in the...

Commonplace co-op.

What's your favorite kind of co-op shooter? The ultra-competitive, team-based thrills of a Battlefield Domination match? The wave-based panic of Gears of War 's Horde mode? Or maybe you're partial to the strategic gore-fest that is a game of Left 4 Dead ?
Pros:
  • Defending capture points is fun when working together as a team
  • Technically impressive visuals
Cons:
  • Core banking mechanic becomes repetitive
  • Bosses are dull and a wasted opportunity
  • Blends many ideas together but excels at few of them
  • Character classes and power-ups lack punch

Innovative FPS and amazing graphics

It took me a few hours to really get into this game but it was well worth it. The first thing that I enjoyed was how well it performed on the PS4 and the graphics were breathtaking and ran at a super smooth frame rate.
Pros:
  • graphics
  • story
  • innovative fps
  • great use of the ps4 controller
Cons:
  • a few difficult sections that are confusing
  • some annoying save points

A Nice FPS entry for the Next Gen

Please note that this review may contain spoilers Story : Shadow Fall is your typical Killzone game where you play as a Vektan soldier and fight against the Helghast forces. After the destruction of the Helghast planet in Killzone 3, many Helghast are forced to take refuge at Vekta's own planet.

Best in the Series

I have enjoyed the series, but to me this one is the best. Controls are spot on. Use of new feature on the controller (touchpad). Good story. Game is just all out great. One of my favorites to date.
Pros:
  • Graphics
  • Story
  • Control
  • Use of touchpad
  • save system is fair
  • best in series IMO
Cons:
  • Load times when first starting the game is slow
  • Load times after death...you have to wait until the guy bends down to mock you before the game wants to load

Like watching paint dry.....

I got this bundled with the playstation and was looking forward to playing it.......... I wasn't expecting much but by God it is boring. It pretty much took the excitement of having a new console away. A few hours later I went and bought Battlefield and then FIFA.

A true next gen shooter

I was a little skeptical about buying Killzone: Shadow fall after the last two games on the PS3 were horrible (in my opinion). But in the end with so little out for the PS4, I decided to take a gamble on it since after all Killzone was one of my favourite PS2 games. Guerilla have done an excellent job of Shadow fall with the campaign being one of the best I've played in the last couple of years, and the best killzone campaign ever (even though I still miss the squad based action of the original). A lot of weapons have been reworked and you can have most of the weapons from the original killzone (with the exception of some of the overpowered ones: squad cannon, chaingun with rocket launcher attachment, etc.). The AI in game work very well together and are highly realistic, but don't tend to work so well with the player in Botzone (offline battle mode). The multiplayer is similar to killzone 2 but the weapons and abilities have been balanced better, also with servers there is little to no lag. It does have a few bugs, but they are not game breaking, and are to be expected for the very first game on a new system. I'm a little disappointed it doesn't have splitscreen or system link, but they did well with what they have. I thoroughly enjoyed Shadow fall, and can't wait for the co-op mode DLC to come out. At least rent it, it's definitely a true next gen shooter.

Killzone: Shadow Fall Review

As one of the first PlayStation 4 exclusive launch-titles, and the only first-person shooter on that short list, Killzone: Shadow Fall had some high expectations to live up to. What we saw in previous installments of this series was a gritty bit of darkness, all-out war and killing with only the...
