The Product is in pristine condition when you get it, however the game itself isn't that amazing. I would say that it is the most generic shooter I have ever played, with the only exception being the cool gravity effects.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm punishing this game for lack of refinement. I quit playing after chapter 5 (of13) because I just have no patience for games which are not adequately play tested.

A slight above-average shooting game that at times won't disappoint. Nevertheless it's still payable but perhaps only once & may not withstand repeated plays.

Picture the scene. Birds are singing, the sun is shining. You're heading home at lunch to see the wife and kid. All is well in the world. That is until you turn the next corner to be greeted by explosions, gun fire, big ugly monsters and objects floating in midair.

Vector Shifts are good fun; So is grabbing an enemy from afar.

Not enough Vector Shifts in the game; Too many Zero Gravity areas.

Ah, the gravity gun. The term almost makes you grin, etched as it is into the memory banks thanks to Half-Life 2's brilliant Ravenholm level. It's impossible not to feel a certain swell of optimism about a game that's looking to occasionally, and quite literally, flip things upside down, exploiting...

Gravity manipulation is always fun; Looks ok; and the cover art is wicked; Co-op can ease the boredom

GravLink is criminally; horribly underused; Every aspect of the game as been done better elsewhere; If the last week is anything to go by; everyone's already deserted the multiplayer

In summary, Inversion is a pretty good shooter that is worth being looked at by any fan of the genre. It is an enjoyable playthrough but not something that screams for a repeat performance.

After a melodramatic opening filled with playable flashbacks and texture lag, Inversion rewinds time to place you in the shoes of Vanguard City policeman Davis Russel moments before an unidentified military force invade the city equipped with gravity-bending technology.

. It wishes it had the same innovative cover-based action, sensational presentation and incredible atmosphere as Epic's shooter series.
