Injustice: Gods Among Us Review (PS3)

After producing the very successful Mortal Kombat reboot back in 2011, NetherRealm once again tried its hand within the DC Comics universe and has now released Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game dedicated completely to the super-powered characters from comic books made by DC.

+Impressive story; +Great roster of characters; +Lots of attention to detail in terms of design

-Difficulty curve is unbalanced in S.T.A.R; Labs, -A few glitches in terms of animations, -Matchmaking needs some work

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review - justice has been served

NetherRealm Studios has done a great job at making Injustice: Gods Among Us feel like its own game. Each character from the DC Universe feels like they belong and play to their strengths and weaknesses. With a fantastic storyline and addictive gameplay, Injustice deserves a spot on your shelf.

Amazing storyline; Great use of DC license; Stage transitions are awesome

Interactive backgrounds are annoying; Slight balancing issues; Minor online bugs

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review – PS3

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, the team behind 2011's Mortal Kombat reboot, Injustice: Gods Among Us sounds like a DC fan's wet dream come true. What could be more ...

Easy to pick-up and play, even if you're not a big fighting game fan because of easy-to-remember three-button combinations; The dialogue will make you laugh at times and seeing each character's super attack move is entertaining.

Hardcore gamers may find the story mode to be too short, offering around 3-4 hours to gameplay – That's assuming you're watching the cutscenes and taking around 15 minutes to complete each superhero's story; The story itself is somewhat confusing and the "Clash" system is a dud.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

As a comic book and Mortal Kombat fan, I was closely watching the development of NetherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us with great anticipation. How could it go wrong? The combination of a roster of beloved DC superheroes and villains along with the brilliant fighting mechanics that defined the...

Inspired comic book lunacy; excellent fighting mechanics for newbies and hardcore alike; fantastic interactive environments; plenty of content; balanced roster of fighters; solid multiplayer

Some comic purists may have issues with the story mode; the wonderful 2 on 2 co-op mode from Mortal Kombat has been given the axe; tutorials could be better

Injustice: Gods Among Us (Multi-Platform) Review

There is one thing you can absolutely count on when you get two members of comic book fandom together. It happens with any pairing at some point, no matter what company they support, which types of comics they read, their ages, their genders or any other factor.

Injustice: Gods Among Us PS3 Review

Injustice: Gods Among Us Image © WBIE "Injustice: Gods Among Us" is the unexpected success of early 2013. We kind of saw the critical accolades for " Tomb Raider " and " Bioshock Infinite " coming as more footage and imagery was released from them but I'll admit to being pessimistic about yet...

Injustice Gods Among Us

Imagine a world where the lines between good and evil have been blurred, where iconic heroes like Superman and Aquaman use their powers to control the world, rather than keep the peace.

Injustice Gods Among Us

I had fun playing Injustice , but not as much as I wanted too.  The combos and hits have a cadence and feeling to them that I've only found in NetherRealm games.  It's a sort of slower, rhythmic feeling and it's not too difficult to pull off useful and reasonably powerful combos.

Injustice: Gods Among Us (mobile)

Injustice: Gods Among Us is finally here home consoles, and if you haven't had a chance to experience it yet, there is an iOS version available for free. To be clear, this is not a full fighting game experience in the slightest.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

None of this really gets in the way of the game however, except when you've lost to Aquaman and his f***ing trident for the sixth time and have "accidentally" smashed your controller into your TV. Despite not having enough challenging unlockables to aim for between the story mode and S.T.A.R.
