One of Sony's Playstation 4 big hitters looks set to be the exclusive Infamous: Second Son title, due out in 2014. Ahead of release Pocket-lint got to preview the game in action at this year's E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles, California, and can already confirm that it's looking hot.

PlayStation 4 Infamous Second Son INFAMSSPS4 review
Despite all of that fear and hatred, InFamous: Second Son is still a game about finding freedom by figuring out who you are. The rapid expansion of Delsin’s powers is constantly engaging, and there’s no reason to believe there couldn’t be more released later on as downloadable content.
If you're a fan of Infamous, this game will not disappoint. Story and gameplay wise, it is the best in the series in my opinion. They've upped the quality of the voice acting, story telling and presentation. Graphically, this game is a show piece for the PS4.

Despite some flaws with combat, climbing and repetition, inFamous: Second Son is a worthy successor to the series and one that looks great on PS4. The open world of Seattle is great to explore and the choices between good and evil open up the game for at least a second playthrough.

Building on the success of the previous two instalments, Sucker Punch Productions returns with a brand new take on the series with inFAMOUS: Second Son . Replacing Cole MacGrath, players assume the role of Delsin Rowe, an Akomish Native American who has a habit of getting into trouble, pitting him...- Experience beautiful Seattle in a native 1080p resolution
- Superb voice acting that delivers memorable dialog
- An open world environment that changes with player actions
- Touchpad integration can feel clunky at times
- Use of the Dual Shock 4's speaker is unnecessary
- Lack of a mission select option is disappointing
Infamous: Second Son review
I can think of a hundred ways to start this review, but none that truly capture the beginning of this game. I'll go as far as saying that this is the first must-own game for the PS4. It's just oh so next-gen, it makes you feel you're playing an action-adventure for the first time all over again.
The Paint Washes Off
The selling point of a new console generation always seems to be graphics, and the current transition to the PS4 and XBox One has been no different-every comparison of the most recent boxes hinges on polygons, pixels, and framerates.- Crossing the city by gliding and jumping through satellite dishes without ever touching the ground
- The overlong pattern fights against Augustine
PlayStation 4 Infamous Second Son INFAMSSPS4 review
Sucker Punch really is one of my favorite developers. I seldom run into a game made by them that I would describe as bad. Both the Sly Cooper series that they originated and the inFamous series which they began, and are now continuing with Second Son , have been stellar gaming experiences, with some...
