An amazing addition to a great game franchise

As fan of the previous games in the series inFAMOUS, inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS Festival of blood. This game and fresh storyline along with its graphics took it to the next level. Great use of the PS4 graphics made it even more immersive. wether playing Hero or Villain the choice is yours.

Awesomely Fun + Amazing Graphics

Have played all Infamous games and this is the most fluid one yet. The powers are wicked and the acting is great. Highly addicted to playing this at the moment – My mind boggles to think what Sucker Punch will do next. Must buy, best game yet on PS4.

Infamous: Second Son review

While it departs from the first two games' obvious infatuation with comic-book style empowerment, Second Son is still very much a game that encourages you to break free of the shackles and cause some havoc.
Pros:
  • + THAT POWER
  • + What a beautiful world
  • + Troy Barker
  • + Freedom
Cons:
  • - Story a missed opportunity

Infamous: Second Son Review

Seattle is a police state. Department of Unified Protection director Brooke Augustine has set her fascist government organization loose on the God-fearing populace, abusing her power to round up those with mutant abilities.
Pros:
  • Dynamic
  • fast-paced combat
  • Breathtaking visual design
  • Side missions offer a fun diversion
  • Exciting boss fights
  • Moral alignment determines how to excel in fights
Cons:
  • Black-and-white morality is overly simplistic
  • Delsin is an annoying character

PlayStation 4 Infamous Second Son INFAMSSPS4 review

Despite all of that fear and hatred, InFamous: Second Son is still a game about finding freedom by figuring out who you are. The rapid expansion of Delsin’s powers is constantly engaging, and there’s no reason to believe there couldn’t be more released later on as downloadable content.

inFamous: Second Son review – hero and?villain

The graphics are a great advert for the power of the PlayStation 4, but in terms of gameplay and story this hasn't moved on at all from the previous generation.
Pros:
  • Amazing graphics and the core combat is enjoyable and pacy
  • with a wide range of customisable abilities – even if a lot of them are very similar in function
Cons:
  • Underwritten story where the moral decisions have no weight in terms of both characters and gameplay
  • Repetitive structure and enemies, as well as boring side quests and boss battles

InFamous: Second Son review

Every kid dreams of having superpowers. Hell, when I was five years old, I tucked a blanket into the back of my shirt, stood in the doorway to my parents' basement, yelled "I'm Superman!" and threw myself down a flight of stairs. Turns out, I couldn't fly.
Pros:
  • Fun story and interesting characters
  • The presentation is magnificent
  • Creative powers and abilities
Cons:
  • Side content not well-developed
  • Gameplay isn't as 'next-gen' as the visuals
  • A bit short for an open-world game

Review: InFamous Second Son delivers last-gen heroics

Second Son sticks too close to the InFamous template, and skimps on the next-gen trimmings. There are flashes of excellence, but overall it feels a little too familiar.
Pros:
  • Delsin Rowe (Troy Baker) adds life to the story
  • Combat is often challenging and strategic
  • Cool visual flourishes
Cons:
  • The concept should aspire for more
  • Poor application of side-missions
  • Seattle is soulless

inFamous: Second Son review

Announcing the third inFamous game at the unveiling of PlayStation 4 last year, director Nate Fox got political. He mentioned that he'd been tear-gassed in 1999's anti-globalisation riot, the Battle of Seattle (an event he's been invoking in interviews for a while ). He attacked the police.
