Game Review: Hitman 2

Although a lot of people were sceptical about how the first season of Hitman was presented, it did work out quite well in the end, allowing you dispatch targets in multitudes of ways, with different challenges that were quite well setup and at times, elaborate to achieve.

A Fantastic game

This game is as great if not better than the first, the graphics look amazing especially on PS4 Pro. I've only played the first 2 levels but have thoroughly enjoyed the game so far. I've always loved stealth games but also have fun going in loud as possible and causing chaos.

Hitman 2 Review – Right on the Mark

After a 2017 split with Square Enix, the fate of the Hitman franchise was left in the air following a successful episodic first season of Hitman. As fate would have it, IO Interactive lived on with ownership of the Hitman franchise, resulting in Hitman 2 .

Lots of content; Great for beginners or veterans; Technically sound; Plenty of playstyles

Slightly inconsistent graphics; Overwhelming amount of options

HITMAN 2 Review – Professionally Executed

In today's ruthless industry, few franchises get to enjoy the longevity that Hitman has. First releasing eighteen years ago, the series has gradually struggled to balance everything just right. The first two games are incredibly unforgiving. Blood Money was great, but too easy.

Hitman 2 Review

Dan suits up for another round of creative killing with everyone's favourite assassin, Agent 47.

Huge amount of options for dispatching targets; Massive stunning levels; High replayability; So many ways to tackle any situation

Story is short if you just run through it once; Trial and error may turn off some players; Enemy AI can be easy to exploit; NZ level could be anywhere in the world

Hitman 2 is a story of perseverance. A game that doesn't have any right to exist, but thanks to a dedicated and passionate fan base and a developer that won't take defeat lying down, its legacy gets to live on and in spectacular fashion as well.

Plethora of content and replayability; Gorgeous and varied locations; Way to kill are extremely creative; Continued support and future content; Streamlined mechanics make for a smooth gameplay experience

Story is only there to set up missions and isn't entirely engaging; Performance hiccups

Hitman 2 Review – Clean Hit

Over the years, stealth games have steadily inched away from stingy trial-and-error gameplay and embraced a more freeform approach that allowed for messy recoveries. Hitman has also given players that ability but not without sacrificing that elusive, perfect hit that takes planning, grit, and a...

Intricate assassinations that encourage replayability and reward strategic thinking; Dense but open environments with many different routes; The wealth of modes exercise the game's stunning freedom; Tongue-in-cheek humor and silly; self-aware dialogue

Static cutscenes with flat storytelling; Multiplayer; although still in beta; is a bit undercooked; Tags

Hitman 2: "Feels like an expansion pack, rather than a real sequel"

There aren't many games that let you recall the time you knocked an old woman unconscious with a freshly baked blueberry muffin while s...

Beautifully crafted sandbox levels; Costumes and stories can still be hilarious; Lovely nods to Hitman history

Still very much Hitman; Feels like an expansion; rather than a full release; Story feels lacklustre
