Great hardware; poor installation instructions

I have owned two Hauppauge tuners. The previous one was a PCI bus card; this one is USB. In both cases, the hardware has been superb; the installed *user* instructions have been adequate; but the installation instructions have been a nightmare. I am a computer professional so was able to hack my way through to success. I shudder to think what a normal skilled computer user but *not* a professional would go through. One has the feeling that the installation instructions were create by the electronics engineers to designed and built the hardware. That would explain it - engineers might not know the best way of communicating with end users...view more
