YOU WILL NOT GET FALLOUT 4 VR WITH THIS PURCHASE. I bought this bundle on March 25, it arrived at my post office and was ready for pickup April 2. The HTC code for Fallout 4 VR is a PROMOTIONAL CODE that ENDED on March 31--two days before my "bundle" arrived in the mail, and because the code is...
HTC Vive headset & controllers
A wonderful three-dimensional experience that will take not only gaming platforms but I could see it bringing educational software to life. Good service as always from JL
"Didn't realize you had to drill stuff into the wall (more or les"
Yeah, comes with 2 square things that need to be 2 meters up, it's not just a headset you can put on and install. Tons o' wires requiring at least 3 wall plugs and then it remains on while the computer is on, there is no off switch so you have to unplug the headset to shut it down.
Superb VR
Quality VR experience with loads of software available through Steam
HTC Vive Wireless Adapter Review – Free Your HMD
HTC launched the Vive as the only VR HMD with roomscale support and proper motion controllers over two years ago, and while their competitors have caught up over that time, they've introduced a killer accessory that once again puts them ahead in the realm of movement.- True wireless freedom
- Works with either Vive HMD
- Easy setup
- No image quality reduction versus being wired
- No noticeable added input latency
- Battery pack design makes for an easy swap-out
- Headset doesn't feel any heavier
- More expensive for Vive Pro owners
- Battery is not hot-swappable
- Image quality could be affected by slower CPUs
Breaks.
It is a wonderful technlogy that will break for no reason after a few months of use. One of my sensor broke. It's usual for that brand I saw on the net... very disappointed.
Great product, but customer service totally SUCKS!!!
My son bought this back in April. Then, a few months ago the controller pads stopped working correctly. As others have stated, this is a very well known design flaw. You will find all kinds of reports of this online, yet HTC won't admit there's a problem.
Worth it most of the time
Pros: +WIRELESS +Light +Somewhat easy to setup Cons: -Unstable at times -Pricey -The battery could be bigger or could come with 2 Additional Notes: This changes everything for the vive and the tech its built on is cutting edge, supports 24 Gb Transfer rates WIRELESSLY, Definite recommendation if you...
Don't just consider buying this. Just buy it, NOW!!!
I became a VR fanboy from trying out a friend's PS VR which in turned led me to building a PC just for VR (He's jealous now, lol). I really hope they keep improving on this product and release a 2nd generation that addresses the pitfalls of this generation.- 1/3 of the cost of the Pro Kit
- -A bit pricey as Rift is $100 cheaper
- and the Vive Pro Kit (Better picture quality) is a ridiculous $1400
