HTC Vive is the ideal VR headset for gameplay and virtual experiences. HTC has developed Vive in partnership with Valve.
HTC started taking pre-orders started in March 2016. The box contains the headset, two wireless controllers, the link box, two base stations, earbuds and a manual.

HTC Vive review: is this brilliant but flawed and demanding product the Betamax of first-gen VR?
It goes without saying that, at $799 (plus another $1,000 or so for a suitable PC if you don't have one already), Vive is not going to be for everyone. It makes Oculus Rift seem positively affordable, in fact , and PlayStation VR will be far cheaper, especially if you already have a PS4.
Pros:
- Brilliantly immersive
- Can be worn at length
- Plenty of good games
Cons:
- Neither cheap nor simple
- Inevitably bulky & cumbersome
- Very few great games

Amazing product for the first generation.
Please note that I am giving my review as a first generation product. It has its pros and cons. Initially when I traded in my entire game and console collection to get this, I thought I had made a mistake. However after using it for three days this this is really great.

Amazing hardware.
HTC Vive is an amazing bit of kit that brings brilliant immersion. Not only is it for gamers as it can be used for creative purposes or simply watching a movie in your own personal cinema.

easy to set up.
In the end I did not use the stands but will keep them should i change rooms, The steam set up tutorial was easy to follow. I have played elite dangerous on a monitor but in VR it is breathtaking the three D effect makes it seem real you can walk about your ship and look out of the windows at...

Having said all that, there is nothing else out there like the HTC Vive. - Amazing tracking for the headset and controllers
- Well placed buttons on the controllers blend well into the games
Cons:
- The headset does not have built in earphones instead a short pair are provided to plug in
- (Fixable with the deluxe audio strap
