HTC VIVE Deluxe Audio Strap, makes your virtual reality experience even better with integrated audio, comfort padding and an easy-to-use size adjustment dial
Easy to install and is very comfortable. I am usually very picky about sound quality and these sound great for what they are. They actually sound better than the headphones on the HTC Vive Pro I tried at a friend's.
Audioshield HTC Vive review – fighting?music
Later revisions may improve the bugs and lack of variety, but for now this is just another VR tech demo that's all promise and too little polish.- A fun reinterpretation of classic rhythm action games
- that looks great and has a potentially infinite music library
- The gameplay gets repetitive very quickly, no matter how different the music is you use
- Very buggy, particularly the menu interface
HTC Vive review: is this brilliant but flawed and demanding product the Betamax of first-gen VR?
It goes without saying that, at $799 (plus another $1,000 or so for a suitable PC if you don't have one already), Vive is not going to be for everyone. It makes Oculus Rift seem positively affordable, in fact , and PlayStation VR will be far cheaper, especially if you already have a PS4.- Brilliantly immersive
- Can be worn at length
- Plenty of good games
- Neither cheap nor simple
- Inevitably bulky & cumbersome
- Very few great games
HTC Vive Virtual Reality Headset Review
We'll start with the good, and when it's working, it's an excellent and immersive experience. The headset is not heavy, the cables do not really get in your way and once the tracking units are set up, you can forget about them.
Review: the HTC Vive is incomparable
Undoubtedly the best VR headset you can currently buy, but know its limits before you rush in
How do you even begin to encapsulate the polarity of feelings the HTC Vive can inspire in an overall verdict? The HTC Vive is the bastion of high-end virtual reality in 2016, but its cost of entry isn't just a monetary value (despite that being the largest factor).
- Truly stepping into VR for the first time
- Intuitive motion controllers
- Simplicity of Chaperone system
- Very expensive for general consumer
- Base Station fitting is a nightmare
- Mediocre library at launch
HTC Vive review: An experience that's out of this world
We've been waiting for the consumer version of HTC Vive – the company's virtual reality (VR) system – to land in our living rooms for some time. It's hard to describe the heightened feeling of excitement that accompanies the launch of a brand new technology, finally, onto the mass market.- Innovative VR that allows you to move around in a virtual space
- excellent visuals thanks to high-res displays
- controllers are excellent and offer developers many options for use
- Setup is far from straight forward thanks to sensor placement
- occasional crashes when installing
- Room Space requires a large area to play in
- headphones not built-in
HTC Vive
I tested the HTC Vive Pre development hardware just last month, and now the final, consumer-ready version of the Vive is here. HTC's $799 virtual reality (VR) system is expensive, but it includes the works: a headset, motion controllers, and even external sensors for setting up a virtual room to...- Immersive experience
- Includes motion controllers and external sensors for whole-room VR
- Expensive
- Tethered headset makes whole-room VR tricky
HTC Vive Review: The Cost of True VR Freedom
I took a walk through the future, and I want more. Instead of rooting you to a fixed point in your room and wrapping a 360-view around you, the $799 HTC Vive lets you stand up and explore it.- Room-tracking technology is eerily accurate
- Smooth graphics with little latency
- Touch controllers are easy to use and highly adaptable
- Large library of games
- Requires a lot of space and electrical outlets to use
- No built-in audio
- SteamVR Interface can be difficult to navigate
HTC Vive Review
Take the blue pill. HTC's Vive weaves a VR fantasy you'll never want to leave.- Incredibly immersive
- Hardware works well
- Decent launch library
- Precise
- intuitive controls
- Easy to set up
- Headset cord can get in the way
- Field of view isn't wide enough for full immersion
- Headset can get sweaty
