HTC One X: The Fastest Android Yet

Let's see now… how do you talk about a phone that's already been talked about so often that most details would just appear repetitive? The HTC One X, the first of its kind in the mobile kingdom, is slated to be the apparent game-changer in the new-age, high-speed, mobile arena.

HTC One X review Review

The One X is a phone for a specialist group of gadget fiends with big wallets and high power requirements. Unfortunately for them, the price of all that power-draining tech appears to be less than stellar battery life.
Pros:
  • Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Latest Sense interface is fast and slick
  • Great 8-megapixel camera
  • Classy look and lightweight feel
  • Beats Audio
Cons:
  • Battery life is questionable
  • Massive handset won't suit everyone
  • Screen has some flex at the edges
  • Quad-core is overkill for most people

  • big screen
  • Beats enhancements with Beats earphone
  • very responsive
  • decent still and video quality
Cons:

HTC EVO 4G LTE (Sprint)

The first Evo on Sprint was an Android phone so groundbreaking and popular that it spawned a franchise. But follow-ups such as the Evo 3D and value-priced Evo 4G Slide, while good, just weren't as exciting.
Pros:
  • Solid attractive design with built-in kickstand
  • Best-in-class HD screen
  • Sharp and fast camera
  • Google Wallet support
  • Unlimited data
Cons:
  • 4G LTE network not yet available
  • Large design

HTC Evo 4G LTE review

The build quality, screen, camera and processor are all top notch, the kick stand is a useful feature, and most other aspects are well above average. We're not so keen on the embedded SIM and battery and the unsightly backside of the phone, but neither of these are deal-breakers.
Pros:
  • Thin and lightweight
  • excellent 8MP camera
  • superb screen
  • kick-stand 25GB of free Dropbox space
Cons:
  • Sprint's 4G rollout is still in effect
  • ugly-looking back

HTC EVO 4G LTE

If I were a Sprint customer, this is the phone I'd buy. In terms of quality, materials, features and specs, the HTC EVO 4G LTE is the one to beat. Unless you prefer the pure Android experience that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus offers, the EVO 4G LTE is our choice, and we suspect it will hold up well...
Pros:
  • Great design and build
  • fast
  • excellent camera
  • Android 4.0 ICS
Cons:
  • A 4G LTE phone without an LTE network

A high-performance phone packing a quad-core processor and Google's latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, HTC's One X remains haunted by old ghosts, with the plus-sized handset's poor battery leaving it one step short of smartphone greatness.

  • sleek design
