I fondly remember the day when HTC started its operations in India. A sunny (read hot) afternoon in June of 2007, Peter Chou unveiled the HTC Touch, mesmerizing everyone. It was nothing like you had ever seen before – a Windows Mobile smartphone that did not require a stylus.

Review: HTC One X
Some of the criticism that has been levelled against HTC over the past few months has been about the sheer number of handsets being pushed out by the company. The smaller One range is HTC's attempt to rectify this, with a tighter focus and the HTC One X is the flagship.

Finally, a phone that answers the user experience questions around Android HTC's market performance has slumped over the last few months – a result blamed squarely on the poor quality of the smartphones they've been churning out.

This one is a head turner. We're talking about the legally ‘White' HTC ONE X. There are very few gadgets that look great and perform to live up to the first good impression. This one has all the right ingredients, a quad processor, the latest Android software – The Ice cream Sandwich OS.
Pros:
- Jaw dropping design
- Excellent build quality
- Above average Camera performance in daylight
- HTC Sense 4.0 makes a lot of Sense
- Insanely fast
- First phone to ship with Android 4.0 ICS in India
- First Quad core phone to be available in India
Cons:
- Mediocre Camera performance in low-light
- Mediocre Battery Life of inbuilt battery
- non-removable
- No memory expansion
- you are stuck with the inbuilt memory
- No beats headphones in the box
- just software tweaks
- Pricey

Yes, HTC One X is the kind of phone we have been waiting for long. HTC has gone all out and given the One X everything they could. We are pretty impressed with this device. HTC One X is also the first quad-core phone to come under our purview.

HTC is bringing its A-game in a big way. The One S was good , but the screen and radio were weak links. The One X aims to fix that. It brings a bigger, more beautiful screen, and LTE connectivity. It's beautifully designed.

HTC has done a very good job with the One X. From the design point of view it is perhaps the best looking Android smartphone available right now. It also has great build quality and can manage a few drops. On the performance side too it comes out in flying colours.
Pros:
- Fast processor
- Good build quality
- Large and bright display
- Beats Audio
- Long battery life
Cons:
- Micro SIM
- No external memory option

Clash of the Titans Part 2: Samsung Galaxy SIII vs HTC One X–Software
Deciding between the SIII and Touchwiz or the One X and Sense is a pretty easy decision for me. Not only is Touchwiz smoother and faster, but it actually adds useful functions that are otherwise missing from stock Android.
