The may be HTC's flagship Android phone of 2012, but the One S certainly doesn't look or feel any less classy. It's constructed from a unibody aluminium frame that's just 7.6mm thick and boasts many of the same features as its more expensive counterpart.
Pros:
  • Thin and stylish design
  • Excellent performance
  • Great camera software
Cons:
  • Display can't match some rivals
  • No memory expansion
  • Inconsistent Sense UI

HTC One S Review

The HTC One S may slot into the midrange in the company's 2012 line-up, but HTC knows that it needs more than just average if it wants to reclaim its position in the smartphone segment.

HTC One S review: Onederful

The HTC One S is the middle child of the One family but it just might be the brightest and best looking too. Inside the slender metal case is a treasure chest of new technology - the brains behind the beauty in this piece of smartphone alchemy...

HTC One S Review

HTC lost a lot of ground to Samsung and other companies over the past year or so, and is trying to make up the difference with its One series. The One series includes the One V (the "value" model with the "chin"), the One S (for the "mid-range"), and the flagship One X .
Pros:
  • + Aluminum unibody feels fantastic in-hand + Good battery life + Camera software is innovative with a fast shutter + Relatively inexpensive
Cons:
  • - Performance is sub-par
  • especially in the browser - Camera is good
  • but not great - No NFC - microSIM - Non-removable battery

HTC One S review

I won't beat around the bush: when the HTC One S launches on April 25th for $199.99, it will be one of the best smartphones T-Mobile has ever launched. In fact, it might be the best. HTC had a lot to prove with its One-series smartphones, and in terms of hardware and software, it delivered.
Pros:
  • I am absolutely blown away by the One S in terms of design and build
  • This smartphone sets the bar for flagship devices in 2012, and I doubt many phones will even approach the One S this year
  • At 7.95 millimeters, this smartphone is one of the thinnest handsets that has ever been produced.
Cons:
  • As much praise as I gave the design and materials found on the One S, I far prefer the micro-arc oxidized aluminum finish on the international version of the phone
  • Micro-arc oxidation refers to a process where aluminum is treated by blasting it with plasma at extremely high temperatures.

HTC One S Review

We've already reviewed HTC's flagship handset the HTC One, and while it's an amazing phone, it's probably too big and too powerful for your average smartphone user. Today we've got our hands on their middle-of-the-road handset, which is likely to be HTC's most popular handset of 2012.

HTC One S/One V Reviews

In reality, the One S isn't truly a middleweight proposition; the reason for its 'halfway house' position within HTC's 2012 portfolio is because the One X is so stunningly powerful.

HTC One S expert review

The One S is a very, very nice phone to use and, although many people will prefer to jump straight to the top of the tree and go for the One X, I would definitely recommend at least trying out the One S first.
