HTC One S
Crammed between the One X and One V, the One S is a phone with middle-child syndrome. It has a good design, solid performance and some excellent features, but so does the One X, with it's larger, 4.7-inch screen.
Pros:
- Same
- sleek shape as One X
- Excellent AMOLED screen
- Solid performance on Android ICS
Cons:
- Poor battery life
- Non-user-accessible battery
- No microSD or HDMI

HTC One S
Good things come in threes, or so they say. HTC has three phones in its One-series range: the top-end One X, the low-end One V and the piggy-in-the-middle HTC One S. But, as it is with all middle children, the One S struggles to stand out.
Pros:
- Same, sleek shape as One X
- Excellent AMOLED screen
- Solid performance on Android ICS
Cons:
- Poor battery life
- Non-user-accessible battery
- No microSD or HDMI

This phone has a good hardware. But it's software is awful. It has Android 4.0 preinstalled, which is fine. But it also has "Sense" which is kind of a bloatware. Also HTC is very slow for system updates. (I still don't have Jelly Bean (4.1) yet).

(The One A9 was originally reviewed on October 27th, but we've republished this review due to the arrival of the handset in the US. ) We're used to only seeing one flagship smartphone come from HTC every year, but this year is different.
Pros:
- - Design is symmetrical and accessible - AMOLED display is good to see - Quick Charge 3.0 incoming thanks to Snapdragon 617 - Fingerprint reader works quite well - Camera is conventionally good - UltraPixel front-facing shooter - Marshmallow out of the box
- with Sense features we like
Cons:
- - Design incredibly derivative - Despite AMOLED
- display is very standard - Lacking in performance speed - Fingerprint reader throws a wrench in plenty of other well-known HTC features - No BoomSound speakers - Battery doesn't last long at all

HTC One S
Following swiftly in the footsteps of the HTC One X , the HTC One S sits in the middle of the company's new trio of One branded Android smartphones. But while it may not be feature packed enough to perch at the top of HTC's pile, there's still potentially enough here to make this one of the choice...
Pros:
- Beautiful slim but strong design
- Dazzling and colourful screen
- Incredibly fast processor
- Feature packed camera
Cons:
- Matt black finish doesn't wear damage well
- Screen has iffy viewing angles and isn't as sharp as the best
- HTC image quality still isn't brilliant

HTC One S (T-Mobile)
With both HTC and T-Mobile going through trying times, both the carrier and the handset maker are looking to make a bold statement with the HTC One S. This little brother to the HTC One X boasts the same superfast camera--thanks to a dedicated imaging chip--along with a sexy Super AMOLED screen...
Pros:
- Slim and attractive design
- Gorgeous Super AMOLED screen
- Speedy camera
- Sleek Sense UI on top of Android 4.0
Cons:
- T-Mobile 4G Network can be spotty

HTC One S
The HTC One S is one of our top picks among Android smartphones. Not only is it one of the few to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, we also like the evolution of HTC Sense. The gorgeous, elegant and durable anodized aluminum unibody casing, impossibly thin profile and attention to detail are hard...
Pros:
- ICS
- stunning design
- lovely display
- HSPA+ 42 Mbps support
Cons:
- Battery not removable
- no storage expansion

HTC One S Android smartphone
The One S is the Panther tank to the One X's Königstiger. Smaller, lighter, not as visually impressive nor perhaps as iconic but at the end of the day still a fine and versatile device for use in the real world.
