dead pixles

I purchased this phone and had a few connection issues at first, then out of the blue there was clusters of dead pixels on the top left corner of the screen.I contacted Rogers and HTC Canada but since it was older than 15 days (28 days exactly) I am now stuck with a refurbished device for 2...

HTC One (M8) Android Smartphone Review

HTC has clearly been putting in considerable effort into its products' industrial design. For years, the company has churned out some of the most appealing flagship devices, running both Android as well as Windows Phone.

Beautiful; high-quality design; Good camera performance; Crisp; sharp 5.0" 1080p display; BlinkFeed is a great addition; Google Play version is available

No biometric sensors; Not water or dustproof like the S 5; Could use more internal storage

HTC One (M8) Review: The New Best Android Smartphone

The HTC One (M8) is currently my favorite Android smartphone. It replaces the Nexus 5 and HTC One in that spot, as both of last year's phones jockeyed for top billing as my preferred device before. Why does the new One unseat them?

Best design of any Android phone; Screen is just at the upper end of size/usability ratio

Some accidental touch on far side interactions; New Motion Launch feature makes for accidental unlocking

Review: Why buy an HTC One M8 Google Play edition instead of a Nexus 5?

A controversial statement: I don't really care that much for the Nexus 5 . Oh, there's no denying it's a fine phone. It's fast, it gets updates quickly, it's solidly built, and its price is unmatched by any other smartphone vendor.

The M8 is a great-looking; great-feeling phone; Nice 5-inch 1080p screen; Fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC; Stock Android 4.4 with the Google Now Launcher installed; which is generally more consistent and more usable than most OEM skins; Guaranteed updates; The HTC Advantage program gives you free...

Kinda big, kinda bulky; Like all Nexus and Google Play phones; there's no Verizon option; The camera hardware still isn't great; and the software has fewer options than on the standard M8; At $699; there are precious few reasons to get this instead of a $349 or $399 Nexus 5

HTC One M8

After using HTC One previously for 4 months, I totally became a fan of HTC's smartphones. The HTC One that won many awards and is still getting awards even after a year of its release, truly proved to be the best of that year and the best smartphone I …

HTC One M8 vs iPhone 5s comparison review

The HTC One M8 is HTC's top smartphone for 2014. Our colleagues over at PC Advisor are convinced that the HTC One M8 beats the iPhone 5s hands down .  But here at Macworld UK we are fans of the iPhone .

iPhone 5s offers more internal storage and is more portable; iOS is intuitive and user-friendly; HTC One M8 has expandable storage; M8 offers larger and sharper screen; Both phones offer excellent speed and cameras

16GB M8 offers just over 10GB in real terms compared to 12.5GB in 16GB iPhone; If you are an iOS user you won't want to switch

HTC One (M8) review: The flagship smartphone to beat

Summary: The HTC One (M8) ticks most of our boxes: design, build and performance are all excellent, there's no app overload, and HTC Sense is improving with every iteration. Battery life could be better and some of the camera tools may seem unnecessary, but overall it's a winner.

Superb hardware design; Storage expansion via MicroSD slot and USB port; Good gesture-based features; Well-rounded range of apps and UI features

Relatively heavy; Camera features need work; Battery life outside power-saving modes could be better

HTC One M8 Australian Review: Your New Old Mate

The All-New HTC One, the HTC One M8, or the "my God, that thing is pretty". No matter what you call it, the HTC One is back with a new model, and it's another great leap forward.

HTC One mini review: Meet Junior

"Mini" is the hot keyword for phones - a natural response to the pocket-busting 5" inch trend of this flagship generation. With the same premium aluminum unibody, the UltraPixel camera and BoomSound speakers, the HTC One mini can proudly bear its father's name.

Premium aluminum unibody, Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support; 3G with HSPA; LTE, 4.3" 16M-color 720p Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with 342ppi pixel density; Gorilla Glass 3, Android OS v4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense UI 5.0, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset: dual-core 1.4 GHz Krait 300 CPU, 1 GB RAM,...

Relatively slow chipset with limited RAM; 4MP camera has disappointing performance in good lighting conditions; No optical image stabilization that made the HTC One camera special; No microSD cards slot; only 12GB user available storage on the 16GB model; No NFC or MHL; Non user-replaceable battery,...
