HTC One Mini review

The HTC One, had everything going for it but did you find it just that bit too big? Well, check out the newer, smaller HTC One Mini The HTC One Mini is a scaled down version of the brand's popular flagship HTC One Android handset. T3 went hands-on...

HTC One mini

The HTC One mini brings a lot to the party. It looks good, it sounds good and it performs well enough on everyday tasks. It's a great mid-range device, with an experience that's very much the same as the larger HTC One.

Fantastic premium design; great display; Sense 5 is a sophisticated user interface

Choosing a smaller device means accepting a less-powerful device; battery life isn't great; some apps wouldn't run; more expensive than rivals; no NFC

HTC One mini Review

Several months after the first market availability of the original HTC One, the HTC One mini emerges as a compact amalgamation of everything that was right about its predecessor. Working with a smaller body, a lower resolution on a sized-down display, and a processor that's not quite as powerful as...

HTC One Mini in-depth review - The HTC One Mini is more manageable than the original five-star phone, losing little along the way

With smartphones growing larger than Andre The Giant's posing pouch, it's no wonder we've started seeing ‘Mini' versions of the latest premium mobiles. Samsung has miniaturised its Galaxy S III and Galaxy S 4 phones, and now HTC has launched its HTC One Mini, a more manageable version of the...

More comfortable one-handed use; Same slick metallic design; Zoe camera mode; Boom Sound; 4G

No NFC; No memory card slot

Can HTC shrink its best phone without losing the essence of its greatness?

My encounter with the HTC One mini underlines the increasing irrelevance of specs to the smartphone user experience. HTC managed to chop the One's processing credentials in half without introducing any tangible performance shortcomings.

Best display at this size; Performs as well as the higher-spec One; High build quality

Poor camera results; Limited battery life; Sense is still a burden rather than a boon

PHOTOVIEW: HTC One mini Android 4.2.2 Smartphone

The HTC One mini - the smaller sibling of the HTC One - is HTC's latest addition to the series of One devices. Powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8930) CPU and Adreno 305 GPU, the One mini will be right away released with Android 4.2.2 and HTC Sense 5.

HTC One Mini review

A little slice of the world's best mobile phone.

Great design; High-res screen; Doesn't need more CPU power; If you hold both the One and the One Mini; you'll struggle to tell the difference; apart from the fact one is smaller than the other (obviously).

Poorer battery; Misses image stabilisation; Storage too low; Sadly; the overall impression we got of the HTC One Mini was one of a phone that didn't quite match up to the One in terms of spec or performance; even taking into account the lower price tag.

HTC One mini review: Meet Junior

"Mini" is the hot keyword for phones - a natural response to the pocket-busting 5" inch trend of this flagship generation. With the same premium aluminum unibody, the UltraPixel camera and BoomSound speakers, the HTC One mini can proudly bear its father's name.

Premium aluminum unibody, Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support; 3G with HSPA; LTE, 4.3" 16M-color 720p Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with 342ppi pixel density; Gorilla Glass 3, Android OS v4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense UI 5.0, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset: dual-core 1.4 GHz Krait 300 CPU, 1 GB RAM,...

Relatively slow chipset with limited RAM; 4MP camera has disappointing performance in good lighting conditions; No optical image stabilization that made the HTC One camera special; No microSD cards slot; only 12GB user available storage on the 16GB model; No NFC or MHL; Non user-replaceable battery,...

HTC One Mini

: Wrapped in an attractive and stylish, svelte package, the HTC One Mini still fits in the best of the HTC One's features, such as 4G support.

: really great to use with one hand; attractive design; 4G; and useful features like Zoe Mode and Boom Sound

: doesn't support NFC and lacks a memory card slot

HTC One Mini Review: the One flagship in a smaller form-factor

Overall, we enjoyed our time with the One Mini! It is a solid phone which performs well, considering the lower specifications it has. With the new trends of screens becoming larger and larger, it is good to finally have a small(er) phone on the radar if you're looking for one (that doesn't wear an...

great performance; above-average battery life; excellent display; small(er) form factor; great materials; awesome design; solid build

There's still no exact word on pricing and availability for the International model which we reviewed here but some online retailers; like our friends in the UK; ; and those in the US; Negri Electronics; ; have the device listed for anywhere between $479 (Clove; plus VAT; if applicable) and $617.5...
