I bought this HTC One mini on a contract for around £23 per month and I haven't regretted it, it came with around £140 cash back over the two years and I heard it's meant to be a good phone, well it is!

Great quality phone with some pretty good features

Mine broke and there's no room for storage

HTC has released a mini version of their flagship phone, appropriately named the HTC One Mini . The One Mini has the same aluminum and plastic frame, 4MP camera and Sense 5 user interface as the HTC One .

The flavour of the moment seems to be big phones, with devices starting at the 4.7 inch screen size mark, and pushing all the way past six inches into phablet territory. Not everyone wants a massive phone, though, and with that in mind, HTC is shrinking its One handset to suit.

Let's start with looks, and "WOW that's a sexy phone" are the exact words from all the people who see the phone. The curves and the touch of the phone will never let you take it out of your hands.

Today's premium smartphones have become so high-end that an entire market has opened up for creating down-sized, more affordable versions of the same. Hence, we have the HTC One Mini, which borrows much of its design from the HTC One.

The HTC One Mini has its flaws, including the disappointing Ultrapixel camera and its limited internal storage. However, the phone shows how mid-range smartphones should be done, and is undoubtedly one of the best phones on the market at this price point.

There may be only a handful of top-tier Android phones on the market at one time, but the mid-range market is constancy flooded with handsets. True, most of these devices feature forgettable designs and specs which would do more good at the bottom of a trash can than inside a phone.

The HTC One Mini is a beautifully constructed handset, and a stark reminder that not every smartphone in 2013 needs to pack a giant screen to stand out. Apple's doing just fine, thank you, and we're glad to see another company offering a more reasonably sized alternative with great build quality.
