HTC One M9 review: more repeat than sequel

I've spent the better part of the last two weeks with HTC's new One M9. It's the latest flagship from the once-powerful smartphone maker and the successor to last year's One M8 . The M9 is exceptionally similar to its forebear: it's nearly all aluminum, has a 5-inch, 1080p screen, has really loud...
Pros:
  • Great design
  • Speedy performance
  • Solid battery life
Cons:
  • Disappointing camera
  • Power button too close to volume keys

The latest addition to the flagship HTC One series might not see a massive departure in design from its predecessor, but it does bring more refined aesthetics and an improved software experience, along with a shift in focus away from the Ultrapixel camera, even if it's not completely gone.
Pros:
  • Metal construction improved
  • Two tone coloration is subtle
  • keeps phone neutral
  • Handling is better with less slippery material choice on back
  • lip on sides
  • Display at 1080p is not missing a step
  • BoomSound speakers still stellar
  • Battery life just above average
  • Sense 7 brings great speed and...
Cons:
  • Phone is thicker than before
  • Sharper edges might displease some users in handling
  • Camera experience very uneven even in well lit situations despite move to 20.7 megapixels
  • Low light performance takes a major hit
  • New sense contextual elements might be annoying to some users

HTC One (M9) review: The weakest One in the trilogy

The third generation One smartphone from HTC has gone on sale in Australia. Changes include a camera that has jumped five-fold in size to 20-megapixels, support for more LTE bands and a meticulous approach to smartphone design.
Pros:
  • Ultrapixel front camera
  • BoomSound speakers
  • Powerful processing hardware
Cons:
  • Poor rear camera
  • Battery life
  • Expensive

The Great HTC One M9

Finest smartphone in every side, specially the design and stereo speaker! They stand out :) It could have killed all other competitors but the camera is far behind the current competition. Sense Home has improved as well.
Pros:
  • Build Quality
  • Call and Sound Quality
  • Sense Home
  • Front Camera
Cons:
  • Camera needs improvement
  • No OIS

HTC One M9 Smartphone Review

The HTC One M9, unfortunately, lacks any real innovations, but the Taiwanese manufacturer can improve some aspects, so the M9 is a very good smartphone. The high-resolution SLCD3 panel can convince with the high luminance and the good contrast ratio.
Pros:
  • Great design and build quality
  • Great speakers
  • IPX3
  • Expandable storage
  • Good connectivity
  • High range of the Bluetooth connection
  • Good GPS
  • Fast storage
  • Bright and high-contrast display
  • Fast SoC ..
Cons:
  • ..
  • but the GPU loses performance under load, Comparatively bad camera, Meager battery runtimes, No quick-charge or wireless charging, QWERTY keyboard even in the German layout, Pricing

HTC One M9 Review: Small Steps Forward

A great feature is the M9's warranty. You get a one time replacement if your phones gets damaged and yes, it includes accidental damage as well. In the past, HTC models were always ahead of the competition, but this year its flagship phone doesn't seem to be as good as other phones offered from...
Pros:
  • Gorgeous Design
  • Great Speakers
  • Sense 7 UI/UX
  • Good Front-Facing Camera
  • Good Performance
Cons:
  • The Rear Camera Could Have Been Better
  • Could Have Been More Improvement Over M8
  • Volume Controller Too Close To Power Button

HTC One M9 Review: Luxury + Evolution Packed Into One Very Smart Device

Now with the new HTC One M9 he is saying that the Taiwanese phone maker is playing it "Dangerously safe" with their new model smartphone because it has similarities to the M8. I disagree absolutely with Davidson's thinking that smartphones have to significantly differ from one model to the next.
Cons:
  • Heat is a minor problem
  • I would also like to see an option feature to fractionally enlarge icons

Review

I got two of these phones to replace Galaxy s4's that my wife and I had. I wanted something comparable to the new s6 but without the High cost of the s6. I think we found it. The camera is great, Battery seems to be just as expected...gets me through the day.

The HTC One M9 is a true flagship smartphone and the one-piece dual-tone metallic body is testament to that. The design includes tapered edges and the One M9 will be available in Gold on Gold, Gunmetal Grey or Gold on Silver colour schemes.
