HTC One M9 (T-Mobile)
Smartphone upgrades are typically biennial events, their significance only enhanced by how personal and essential the devices have become. When upgrading, it's not unreasonable to expect something that's better in ways that go beyond just specs.
Pros:
- Fantastic design and build quality
- Fast performance
- Seamless software customization options
- MicroSD card slot
Cons:
- So-so battery life
- Competitive, but still-disappointing camera

HTC One M9 review
With its improved processor and cameras, beefed up battery and the ability to add more memory, the HTC One M9 is a worthy successor to the M8, correcting most of that phone's main faults and while retaining all its virtues.
Pros:
- Sleek metallic good looks
- fine HD screen
- powerful processor
- decent camera
- expandable memory
- good battery life
Cons:
- Not waterproof
- not cheap

As has become the norm, major smartphone manufacturers are expected to launch a new version of their flagship phones annually. On top of that, the average consumer expects greater improvements and features with each successive release.

The HTC One M9 has now landed, making it the latest flagship phone from the Taiwanese manufacturer. While it doesn't look too different from its predecessors , it's still a sleek and stylish phone that can go toe-to-toe with the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 in the looks department.
Pros:
- The One M9 marks HTC's 2015's flagship phone, and like the M8 before it, things haven't changed too much - the new One looks a bit like the old One
- But that's no bad thing, as the One M8 (and the M7 before it) had a slick aluminium design, and it's been tweaked and refined to house even faster...
Cons:
- The One M9 doesn't feel like a brand spanking new phone - just like last year's M8, it feels more like a refined and slightly retooled version, which may feel underwhelming for some
- It's a solid handset, but if you're after something completely different from HTC, you might be waiting for a while.

HTC One M9 review: A gorgeous Android phone with a touch of déjà vu
The updated HTC One M9 packs speed and software improvements into a handset that remains lustworthy in middle age, but it doesn't exceed the competition where it counts. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Such seems to be the guiding philosophy behind the HTC One M9, and for the most part, the approach works. The One M9 is a beautiful Android phone worthy of your consideration, unless you already own last year's HTC One M8 (they could well be confused for the same phone). The Samsung Galaxy S6 beats it on most key features you'd care about however, including battery life and camera quality.
Pros:
- The HTC One M9 inherits its predecessor's stunning metal design and strong speakers, and has a bright, sharp display
- It runs the latest version of Android, and the new Sense 7 software is simple, responsive and highly customisable
- It's one of the few flagship phones to still feature expandable storage, and it offers a unique one-year replacement program in the US.
Cons:
- The M9's camera quality and battery life don't measure up to its competitors
- For better or worse, the phone feels like a rerun of last year's HTC One.

HTC One M9 review: Distracted by refinement
The HTC One M9 is, in every sense, an evolution of the flagship M8 smartphone that came before it. It offers a similar design, a similar feature set, similar specs and a similar user experience. It is, therefore, a similar overall experience.
Pros:
- Build quality
- BoomSound
- great user interface
- good front camera
Cons:
- Feels a little incremental
- rear camera performance
- in some areas there's no progression over the phone it replaces

HTC One M9 review: familiar on the outside, fresh on the inside
The HTC One M9 is a solid high-end phone, but it does seem like HTC rested on its laurels a bit with the design and display. The One M8 stood out from its rivals mainly through impressive design, but now the likes of Apple and Samsung have caught up, meaning that the One M9 just doesn't stick out...
Pros:
- Design remains classy
- HTC Sense 7 UI looks great and has handy apps
- BoomSound speakers are brilliant
- Powerful processor
Cons:
- Over-familiar design lacks 'wow' factor
- Disappointing camera
- Battery should last longer

HTC One M9 Review: It's What's Inside that Counts
Viewed from the outside, the HTC One M9 doesn't seem much different from last year's One M8. Take a peek inside, and you'll see the incremental changes that have become a hallmark of successful smartphone lines.
Pros:
- Reliable performance
- fluid operation
- Good battery life
- Excellent display
Cons:
- Looks too much like the One M8 and One M7
- Average photo quality

Mediocre performance for a flagship phone
I've had this phone for a few weeks, and it's been a solid performer. Upgraded from an M7, and I love how the menus and icons are 95% the same, with just a few improvements.
Pros:
- Boom sound
- Quick performance
Cons:
- Poor battery life
- Worse customer service

HTC One M9
Taking up the mantle as HTC's flagship phone in 2015, the HTC One M9 has a lot to live up to. The HTC One M8 and original One were both great handsets, the latter a winner of the TrustedReviews' Phone of the Year Award in 2013.
Pros:
- Beautifully crafted and well-designed
- Speedy processor
- Sense Home works brilliantly
- Great front-facing camera
- Best speakers you can find on a phone
Cons:
- Aesthetic changes not an improvement
- Rear camera not as good as the competition
- Some software niggles
