The HTC One (M8) is not a radical departure from last year's HTC One. It's a solid update, but isn't new or exciting, and definitely isn't worth upgrading to if you currently use any of last year's premium phones.

Good; Metal body and good construction quality; Camera works brilliantly in many conditions; Good pricing

Bad; Clunky software and interface; Camera tricks are mostly comical; A bit big and unwieldy

HTC, the Taiwanese manufacturer, has been making smartphones for ages, but a definite breakthrough occurred when the company released the world's first ever commercial Android handset, the Dream G1.

Great design and build quality; Accurate display; Selfie camera takes good photos and videos; Best music output from a phone; both speakers and earphones; Sense 6 is clean and fast; Long lasting battery life

Still the same 4 MP camera; Post process effects are not 100% accurate; Body too slippery to hold; might get scuffed up in the long term; Power/lock switch unreachable; tall form factor doesn't help

Rs. 43000 HTC M8 is the true successor of HTC One. Not only it is a design marvel but it has some unique features too. In the third week of April this year, HTC announced the launch of One M8 in India for Rs 49,900 and our first impression of the device was that , "HTC One (M8) is a beautifully...

It has a magnificent design; Performance is top notch

HTC M8 may have been the company's worst kept secret, but we are glad that it's finally official! The Taiwanese manufacturer had bowled us over with its 2013 flagship device, HTC One, and while we thought it wasn't possible to one up the flagship device, we stand corrected.

The war for the top spot in the Android world have started before years and still is going on. Many products have come forth, many have been crowned and many have failed to meet the requirements.

The HTC One competes with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Sony Xperia Z2 in 40-50K premium smartphone segment. If you can afford it, you wouldn't be disappointed. Although, the Rs.

It might be a bit on the large size, but there is no doubting that the HTC One (M8) is perhaps the most head-turning Android phone around by a country mile. And is backed up by some very good hardware too. The big question, of course, is whether this is enough to make it worth investing in?
