Arguably the Photosmart 6520's most significant difference from the HP 6510 is the addition of HP Wireless Direct, which HP says is essentially an enhanced version of Wi-Fi Direct. By either name, the feature makes it easy to connect directly to the printer from a smartphone, tablet, or notebook, eliminating the need to connect either the printer or the other device to a Wi-Fi network. Took a long time to find out it cannot connect wirelessly

This printer is great. It has Linux support, great wireless capabilities, it doesn’t use abundant amounts of ink, and it allows one to email scans right from the printer.

These days, you can pick up household multifunction printers from $25 to $500+. The variety is so diverse that it can be almost impossible to distinguish the printers from each other, other then the brand. So how do you test out what is good?

The HP site insinuates there is fax capability; In reality, you can only use the fax function if you have a wireless connection

This is a super printer. I bought it for home and it is getting a great workout! Reports, presentations, and pictures -- it does it all and more. The only thing is that I have a Mac and the fax doesn't work with Mac which is a disappointment!

Price of ink cartridges

This is a great printer but if you use any ink cartridge other than HP it regularly harasses you by forcing you to frequently loosen and reinstall your ink cartridges. This is a major inconvenience.
