This is one of those potentially good products that is defeated by inadequate software. On my two macs, I have been unable to scan from either one, and printing is only an occasional success. In the scanner, it works if I scan to a USB memory plugged into the side of the printer but not from a Mac.

It's more expensive than standard-sized multi-function printers, but the HP OfficeJet 250 is ideal for anyone who's short on office space or needs to print on the go, with decent print quality and speeds.

I had no issues setting up this printer and I am basically a hapless Luddite. The only thing that stymied me was when the diagram told me to remove a piece of foam and tape inside the printer. Spent 10 minutes trying to find something that was not there.

HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer

All-in-one printers need not be cumbersome devices yoked to a desktop or consigned to a table of their own. The HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer ($349.99) can print, copy, and scan, yet is compact and light enough to fit into a travel bag and be lugged around with a minimum of strain.

Portable; Scans and copies; Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and USB connectivity; Rechargeable battery; 50-sheet input tray; 10-sheet ADF; Output quality worthy of a desktop inkjet; High claimed page yields for print cartridges; Lighter than its predecessor; Fast photo printing

Lacks a USB cable; Heavier than most laptops

This long-overdue replacement for the Officejet 150 prints, copies, and scans like a full-size model. It's a truly mobile all-in-one inkjet for light tasks.

Light for what it is; and highly mobile; Good print; copy; scan quality; Easy setup; Decent mobile features; Rechargeable; swappable battery; Fast charging when powered down

Two-tank ink delivery; High cost per page; So-so print speeds

Solid printer

I got this printer on sale. Happy I did. It's been very dependable, doesn't seem to jam and it's not wasteful with ink... which is good to me! Only 4 stars because I wish it printed just a little bit faster. Very minor though.

Great product - wish it worked easier with iPhone

This is an excellent product. I haven't had to change the ink yet, so I don't know about the usage. When your phone and printer is on the same network, it works very easily, but if you are using the iPhone to printer connect, the app doesn't work.

HP OfficeJet 250 review: A portable multi-function printer

We're all used to computing on the move, but if we want to print, scan or copy a document it's usually time to head home. Where that's really not an option, HP's OfficeJet 250 provides a solution: it's a tiny, portable, colour inkjet MFP.

Does everything required

Excellent printer so far, (1 months use), great to be able to scan, copy and print in a mobile situation and connect directly to my iPad and iPhone as well as my laptop.
