I've used the new EliteDesk ultra slim for several weeks now and I am very pleased with the purchase. It is a very small box on the desktop and comes with an external power supply that is also pretty small, so altogether about one-third of the size of my previous Dell slim desktop.
Easy to Use; Lightweight; Quality; Easy to Set Up; Performance
The EliteDesk 800 G1 desktop PC is one of the smallest business computers on the market, yet it contains a configuration that can produce a high level of performance that's more than capable of running everyday office tasks.
Small size; Efficient performer; 2.5in drive bay; plus mSATA slot
Has only 100Mbps Ethernet; DisplayPort the only option for digital video out
A tiny desktop PC, packing all-round performance and plenty of ports
Compact; Strong performance; Plenty of USBs
Expensive; No HDMI connection; No Bluetooth support
Mini PCs open up all kinds of possibilities for a business, whether its removing clutter on the desktop, saving space in a till or reception area, or even integration directly into products or customer displays.
It looks pretty sleek.
Powerful Processor; Expandability; Easy to Work On; DVD Optical Drive; 3.5" Knockout for card reader; Fast; 3 year warranty; It's an HP; SuperSpeed USB
Only 4GB RAM, 6-8 would be nice, The product image shows no optical drive, however there IS in fact an optical drive on this machine located to the right of the power button; If I have any trouble, I will submit another review or revise this one
5 star so far
Do you remember when desktop computers were so large that they had to go under (or to the side of) the desk? Oh wait; most of them still are still that large. The HP EliteDesk 800 G1 , however, is an exception.
: Extremely small CPU that can be mounted or placed almost anywhere; powerful and upgradeable; a total of six USB 3.0 ports; can handle up to three external displays
: You have to provide your own monitor, keyboard, and mouse; no digital drive (for those who haven't weaned themselves off of them yet
If you're looking for the latter, HP has a machine for you. Dubbed the HP EliteDesk 800 Desktop Mini (just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?), the computer is in a tiny form factor, not much larger than a standard cable modem or home network switch.
This little unit works great and is very fast...good value for the capability...
