Google Pixel 3a XL review: A cheaper route to that Pixel camera

The Google Pixel 3a XL is a great phone with bags of appeal, but this larger version feels like it's a little too expensive for the money you're asked to pay for it. The mid-range hardware sees it priced higher than phones like the Moto G7 Plus or the Nokia 7 Plus , while aggressive pricing from...

Great camera experience; Pure Android is bloat free; Good battery life; Great display; 3.5mm headphone socket

Price a little high; Speaker change isn't great; No microSD card slot

The best thing about the new Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL is just how similar they are to the full-price Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL respectively. It would take more than a casual glance to distinguish the two new phones from their more powerful siblings, and Google is very proud of this.

Good; Very good cameras; Good software features; Guaranteed updates for three years; Stereo speakers; Good; Very good cameras; Good software features; Guaranteed updates for three years; Stereo speakers

Bad; Expensive; Weak processor and low storage for the price; Bad; Expensive; Weak processor and low storage for the price

Google Pixel 3a XL review: don't mourn the notch

The Google Pixel 3a XL is a more affordable twist on the Pixel 3 XL , with similar camera features, an almost identical design, and a reinstated 3.5mm audio port. Whereas the Pixel 3 XL starts from £869, the Pixel 3a XL starts from a much more palatable £469. So far, so good.

Phenomenal Pixel 3 Camera; 3.5mm Headphone Port; Fast-Charging / Fast-Charger In The Box; 3 Years Of Android OS Updates Guaranteed; Unlimited Google Photos Storage

Very Difficult To Use One-Handed; No Ultra-Wide Group Selfie Mode From Pixel 3; No Water Or Dust Resistance; No Wireless Charging; Not As Powerful As Some Phones At This Price

Super happy

After 5 iPhones over the course of 11 years I made the switch to Android. I love this phone and would not go back if you gave me a free iPhone! I am a very heavy user, I drive for both Uber and Lyft and need to run apps simultaneously. iPhone just could not handle it.

Google Pixel 3a XL Review

The Google Pixel 3a was introduced as Google's new mid-range smartphone, available as the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, with the 3a offering a 5.6inch screen and 3000mAh battery, and the 3a XL offering a larger 6inch screen, and a 3700mAh battery.

Google Pixel 3A XL

Google is pivoting to a whole new pricing bracket. At its annual Google I/O conference Tuesday, the tech giant announced the Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL. Though they have last year's name, they're indeed new phones that serve as a more budget-friendly variant of the company's main flagships, the Pixel...

The Pixel 3A XL packs a large screen; a fantastic camera; a long-lasting battery and a headphone jack -- all at a more affordable price than the Pixel 3 and 3 XL

The phone doesn't have water resistance, wireless charging or expandable memory; As a Pixel 3A XL owner, you have unlimited uploads to Google Photos only at high quality, not original

Google Pixel 3a XL review

The Pixel 3a is Google's attempt to return to the affordable premium smartphone category. After sunsetting the Nexus program, Google moved on to the ultra-high-end segment with the launch of the original Pixel back in 2016.

Excellent display; Great performance; Outstanding camera; Long-lasting battery; Clean UI with guaranteed updates

Google Pixel 3A XL review: Google raises the bar for mid-tier phones

I think it's fair to compare the Pixel 3A XL to the more expensive Pixel 3 XL simply because it's a question consumers will be asking themselves -- do I go with the $900 phone, or the one that costs almost half that And what will I miss out on if I do

Battery life; Camera; Google's software experience

Good; not great; display; Slow at times

Last year wasn't all that great for Google's Pixel 3 lineup. Plagued by a myriad of issues and an an increase in prices, the phones shipped lesser numbers than the already limited volumes of the Pixel 2 series. Now more than ever, Google needs a more affordable entryway into the Pixel family.

Stunning camera Excellent battery life Well optimized for performance Three years of updates

Price 4GB RAM is limited 64GB storage is too little in 2019
