Pixel 3a XL Review: Everything You Need in a Phone for $479

Smartphone makers have a problem. They keep packing more and more features into their phones, driving up the cost. And increasingly, people aren't buying them.

Camera measures up well to the Pixel 3 XL's; Affordable price tag; Long-lasting battery; Headphone jack; Good performance for a midrange model

Dim screen; Prominent bezels; No wireless charging or water resistance

Google Pixel 3a XL review

The Pixel 3a is Google's attempt to return to the affordable premium smartphone category. After sunsetting the Nexus program, Google moved on to the ultra-high-end segment with the launch of the original Pixel back in 2016.

Excellent display; Great performance; Outstanding camera; Long-lasting battery; Clean UI with guaranteed updates

All the phone that most people will ever need

Really well designed phone. Lovely bright screen, fast, smooth software experience using stock Android 9, lightweight plastic body without feeling cheap. It may not have the latest processor, wireless charging or waterproof ratings but this is half the price of the flagship devices that have those...

Great Phone

Read the ratings. A good alternative would be a Pixel 2 XL. The good on the Pixel 2 XL are the bad on this one and the other way around. I prefer the 2 XL but this phone is still awesome. Not knocking it.

Battery; Battery; Battery; Build; Speaker volume; Camera; Price; Headphone jack

Deliberately slowed down UI by Google, Should be at least $50 cheaper still; Sharing videos and photos still use MMS (in US

Google Pixel 3A XL review: Google raises the bar for mid-tier phones

I think it's fair to compare the Pixel 3A XL to the more expensive Pixel 3 XL simply because it's a question consumers will be asking themselves -- do I go with the $900 phone, or the one that costs almost half that And what will I miss out on if I do

Battery life; Camera; Google's software experience

Good; not great; display; Slow at times

Google Pixel 3a XL review: Great camera, but does that justify the price

The Google Pixel 3a XL has a lot of positives. The camera capabilities are impressive, better than several other phones, which are priced in a similar range. I say this because I find the Pixel 3a XL's camera or rather the Google Camera to deliver results which are most natural and pleasing.

Google Pixel 3a XL Review

The Google Pixel 3a was introduced as Google's new mid-range smartphone, available as the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, with the 3a offering a 5.6inch screen and 3000mAh battery, and the 3a XL offering a larger 6inch screen, and a 3700mAh battery.

12MP performs extremely well; Easy to take great photos; Impressive Night Sight mode; Stock version of Android; Great value for money; RAW available

Lacks a "Pro" or manual mode; No MicroSD card memory slot
