Google Pixel 3 64GB
Reviews for the Google Pixel 3 have been overwhelmingly positive, with one expert saying "it's the best Android smartphone you can buy". Let's find out why!
Cool and compact
The Pixel 3 is smaller, lighter and more compact than most smartphones, with many tech experts pointing out how comfortable it is to handle, how easy it is to hold one-handed, and how nicely it fits into your pocket.
Glass adds class
The Pixel 3 says goodbye to Google's usual aluminium and glass construction, and adopts a classy all-glass design. If first impressions count, this is the phone for you!
An enhanced display
The OLED screen delivers a higher contrast ratio, most evident in low light and dark conditions, while the 2,260 x 1,080-pixel resolution is super-sharp, with excellent colour saturation, and the option to revert to a more "natural" display if preferred.
Amazing cameras
The cameras on Google smartphones are some of the best you can get. The Pixel 3 is no exception! New features include Top Shot, which takes frames before and after your picture and suggests an alternative shot to what you actually captured: Super Res Zoom gives you better detail while zooming: and Night Sight greatly enhances the quality of low light shots.
A focus on yourself
The Pixel 3 features regular and wide-angle lens for all selfies and portrait mode shots. An integrated algorithm will remove any distortion caused by the wider lens.
Call screening
A great example of the wonderful AI tasks in this smartphone! When you receive a call, on-device speech recognition will transcribe the conversation from the caller (who is calling? why they are calling?) so you can decide whether to pick up, hang up, or mark as spam and block.
A newer model Google Pixel 4 64GB was released in November 2019.

Google Pixel 3 XL review: Android's new hotshot phone
The Google Pixel is the panacea of Android phones, designed to show what you can do with pure Android software, tuned to the Google-designed hardware. Its pièce de résistance is the camera, where Google's aim is to showcase what artificial intelligence (AI) can really do.- Outstanding camera performance
- Android Pie is clean and fast
- High quality design and build
- No screen issues this time around
- Battery life isn't class leading
- Some software foibles
Google Pixel 3 Review
The Pixel 3 is the latest smartphone from Google, following on from the success of last year's Pixel 2. There are a number of new features, many of which are of particular interest to photographers. Like the previous versions of the phone, the camera is at the heart of much of Google's marketing.

Google Pixel 3 review: The best Android phone of 2018
The Pixel 3's truly exceptional cameras and AI-powered call screening give it an edge on the other great phones in 2018's crowded winners' circle. During its annual developers conference this year, Google announced the Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL -- two budget phones that kick off the company's new endeavor to make cheaper, more affordable phones. The devices are essentially reworked versions of the Pixel 3 and the larger 3 XL, which originally debuted in October 2018.- The Pixel 3 takes brilliant photos, even in super low-light, with its single rear lens and it can capture wider selfie photos
- It's water resistant, has wireless charging and it can screen unwanted calls.
- The phone doesn't have expandable memory or a headphone jack
- The shot-to-shot camera delay can be sluggish in certain modes.
Google Pixel 3 XL review: Greatness with a hideous notch
Google announced the third generation of its Pixel phones last week , once again with regular- and XL-sized variants. I was given the Pixel 3 XL to review, and I absolutely love it... except for the hideous notch.
Google Pixel 3 XL
It's one of our favorite phones of the year, but the Pixel 3 XL isn't what we usually see from big-screen phones. For instance, it costs less than $1,000 (more specifically, $899, £869 and AU$1,349), and it has only one rear camera lens.- The Pixel 3 XL has a top-of-the-line camera that includes an enhanced low-light feature and it can now take wider selfie shots
- It's water resistant, has wireless charging and its Google Assistant has convenient new skills such as call screening
- The phone's onscreen notch is taller than other phones'
- It doesn't have expandable memory or a headphone jack
Google Pixel 3 Review: The Best Android Meets the Best Camera
The Pixel 3 is the ultimate expression of Android and proof that AI done right can make your life easier.- Excellent performance
- Quality OLED display
- Top-tier cameras
- Charming design
- Call Screen is a godsend
- A bit expensive
- Bezels could be slimmer
Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL review: the best camera gets a better phone
When Google hardware chief Rick Osterloh introduced the Pixel 3 last week, he didn't utter the word "Android" a single time. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are Google phones.
