Reviews from industry events launching the Pixel 2 XL rave about the new Android Oreo, the new Operating System which takes smartphone performance to a remarkable new level. According to some, this new Pixel smartphone is how Android should operate in its purest form.
The Snapdragon chipset, combined with 4 GB of RAM, combine to make the Pixel 2 XL a very fast phone, noticeably speedier than many other smartphones occupying the higher end of the market.
A smaller feature, but a most welcome one, is the Always On feature, which means you can see the time and other notifications without having to tap the screen.
One of the big advantages of upsizing to the Pixel 2 XL is the enhanced resolution of the P-OLED display. Its 2,880 x 1,440 resolution equals a crystal-clear display, something to keep in mind if things like virtual reality gaming apps are on your wish list.
The Pixel camera is being lauded as one of the best, if not THE best, on the smartphone market. While the cameras are not dual-lens, technological features like dual-pixel for a stunning depth effect, means that the rave reviews for these cameras are justified.
Protecting all the grand features in the upsized Pixel 2 XL is improved dust and water resistance.

The phone is good, but for that price, I would expect something far better. I have a Moto X Style which I paid around 250€ 3 years ago and it has a superb screen compared with Pixel 2 XL. I'm a big fan of Google and Android but this phone has a lot of flaws that are unacceptable at this price range.

Switched over from about a decade of iPhones, was a little nervous at first, but after a couple weeks I'm very satisfied with my decision. I recommend this smartphone, the Android system is a pleasure to operate, very intuitive, and user friendly.
It's a little disappointing that the Pixel 2 XL's potentially most useful – and exciting – feature isn't fully ready yet but, to be honest, I'm not at all convinced by the phone as a whole anyway.

It's now been two weeks since the arrival of the Google Pixel 2 XL in my hands and it's time to tell you about my experience. After getting over the novelty factor, I've had time to examine the larger Pixel 2 in depth and there's certainly more to it than what appears at first glance.

While the Pixel 2 XL is certainly a solid all-round smartphone, there are a few little niggling issues here and there that drop it some vital points. We love the slick performance and fantastic battery life, while the funky design means it's certainly a desirable handset.
