A little gem.

This camera is well underrated. I have owned many DSLRs and needed something smaller that could produce good images. I was not disappointed with the results and quality this camera gave me. The XF 18-55 kit lens is as good as my canon L series glass.

Fujifilm XT20 review

Fujifilm's XT20 is a highly satisfying camera which packs the quality and autofocus of the flagship XT2 into a smaller, lighter and more affordable body. By sharing the same X-Trans III APSC sensor and image processor, the photo quality is identical – given the same lens of course – and since the AF...

Best out-of-camera quality in its peer group, Good quality viewfinder and tilting touch-screen, Good continuous AF in the middle of the frame, Built-in Wifi with smartphone remote control, Silent shutter option; E-Shutter up to 1/32000

Short movie clips: Ten or 15 minutes in 4k or 1080p, Basic three-frame AE bracketing; No Bulb timer, Touchscreen underused compared to rivals, Microphone input uses 2.5mm jack, SD slot doesn't exploit UHS-II speed, No built-in stabilisation, Geo-tagging in app limited to one location per session

Fujifilm X-T20

Fujifilm's X-T20 ($899.95, body only) exudes style. The retro-chic mirrorless shooter is loaded with physical controls, sports a touch screen, and packs a top-notch image sensor backed by a strong autofocus system.

24MP APS-C X-Trans III image sensor; 8fps burst rate; 14fps with electronic shutter; Big, sharp EVF; Tilting touch LCD; Loads of physical controls; Film Simulation options; 4K video capture; Wi-Fi

Omits in-body stabilization and weather sealing; No dedicated focus select control; Shooting buffer could be larger; 4K footage suffers from rolling shutter effect

And I mean that in a good way. I really like the little EM 10, have had three of them (not at the same time; I keep selling them and buying another. Maybe done with that...) I hated my A7 II so much I sold it at a loss, only 342 clicks in 6 months. Then I got into a "sell it!

Fujifilm X-T20

The Fujifilm X-T20 pairs a 24 megapixels X-Trans CMOS III sensor with speedy X-Processor Pro. This combination delivers excellent image-quality when it comes to noise, sharpness and dynamic-range. Image colors and white-balance are also impressive.

Very low image noise up to ISO 3200; Wide dynamic-range; Reliable metering; Natural rendition of image colors; Good automatic white-balance; Fast and accurate AF; Instant shutter-lag with virtually no blackout; Plenty of direct controls; Instant video response; Excellent build quality

Somewhat aggressive noise-reduction; Low ISO 100 unreliable; Not Exposure-Priority; Misleading EVF and LCD preview; Complicated Shutter-Speed control; No direct ISO control; Soft control-dial detents; Minimal hand-grip; Short battery-life; Soft aperture detents With all current XF-mount lenses

Fujifilm X-T20 Review

Fujifilm's X-T20 ($899.95, body only) exudes style. The retro-chic mirrorless shooter is loaded with physical controls, sports a touch screen, and packs a top-notch image sensor backed by a strong autofocus system. But it faces some very stiff competition from a pair of Sony cameras, including the less expensive Alpha 6000 ($649.99), which omits 4K video but is an otherwise excellent performer, and the slightly pricier Alpha 6300 ($999.99), which adds weather sealing and matches the X-T20 in 4K capability. But both Sony models offer strikingly different approaches to controls and handling, making the X-T20 an appealing alternative for photographers who prefer the physical dials around which Fujifilm has designed its control system. Design The X-T20 ($989.99 at Amazon) shares much of its technology with the company's flagship model, the X-T2, but sells for nearly half the price. It also takes design cues from its sibling, with a look that harkens back to old film cameras, in either...

The mirrorless Fujifilm X-T20 delivers the same image quality and focus capabilities as the pricier X-T2, but drops weather sealing and some other pro features to hit a lower price point.

Fujifilm's X-T20 takes the design and handling of the X-T10, adds many of the 'guts' of the X-T2, and stirs until a very competent mirrorless camera emerges. It offers the direct setting controls found on nearly all of Fujifilm X-series cameras that make it a real pleasure to use.

Review: Fujifilm X-T20 digital camera

After testing the X-T10 a couple of year ago I fell in love with it and brought one as my walk around/take everywhere camera, so when the chance came to get my hands on the updated version, the X-T20 I was excited!

Fujifilm X-T20

Announced at the press event in Kyoto on 19 January, the X-T20 is one of three new models that are being added to Fujifilm's portfolio in the first part of this year. It's a significant update to the X-T10 offering higher resolution, a reworked AF algorithm and the ability to record 4K movies while...
