I wasn't expecting great pictures (they are mediocre). It would have been nice if the controls were easy to use (they are not) and if the bluetooth app for transferring pictures was usable (it wasn't). But all I really wanted was that the camera be waterproof. It was not.

A good, budget weather/water/dust proof camera.

To start with, don't expect this camera to be able to take better pictures than a mid to high end smart phone camera from the past year or two. Yes, this camera can zoom but in terms of outright image quality there are many phones which will take far better quality photos in terms of clarity,...

Finally opened camera to take on vacation...camera missing battery and charging cord and instructions. Had too long to return. Not happy. But, the camera appears to be good.

Waste of money

Bought this camera for a summer cruise to the Bahamas. Best thing I can say for this camera is that it survived being dunked in the ocean. This piece of junk took awful pictures that reminded me of the instamatic kodak cameras I had as a kid back it the 1960's. Horrible piece of junk.

Fujifilm FinePix XP130

Fujifilm's one and only ruggedised compact camera, the XP130 is a pocket-sized point-and-shoot model that's built for the rough and tumble of a trip to the wilderness. It's waterproof to a depth of 20m, shock-proof to withstand drops of up to 1.75m onto a hard surface, dust-proof and freeze-proof to...

Simple to use; More affordable than other rugged cameras; Pocket-sized but rugged

Average image quality; No 4K video recording; Light on features compared to rivals

Good little camera

The camera is not that simple to set up. Partly, the problem is very small print for instructions, and mostly not in English. Otherwise, it's quite small and lightweight. You need to practice a lot but I'm not sure it's worth the money.

Fujifilm FinePix XP130

Budget shoppers who are willing to live with the XP130's limitations should also check and see if the XP120 is still available for sale. At press time it is, and is selling for under $150. It doesn't offer Bluetooth, which isn't essential, and aside from that it's the same camera as the XP130.

Affordable; Tough, waterproof design; Simple operation; 5x zoom lens; Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Video limited to 1080p; So-so lens with limited macro focus; Rear LCD doesn't support touch
