When I tried to play/share video on my pc, I kept getting error messages and had to re-install about 3 times. When I finally managed to get the clips to play (via Quicktime, not Flipshare) the image and sound didn't sync up. What a waste of time. I'm returning it today.

Easy to operate

Only x2 zoom and the software didn't work on my pc

Flip UltraHD review

Too much money for a gadget that doesn't stand up well against the competition

Still the easiest camcorder to use

Chunky; doesn't compare well with its rivals

Worth buying on sale, but not as stylish looking or high performing as its competitors.

A nice looking pocket size camcorder with some great features

Not as feature rich as competitors in the same price/size range; Two X optical zoom is almost useless

Flip Ultra-HD

The Flip UltraHD is unlike any other pocket camcorder we've reviewed off late. It's simply a point-and-shoot camcorder and though it might not change the way we record videos it surely is one of the simplest "point and shoot" camcorders you can get your hands on.

Flip Video UltraHD (3rd gen)

The Flip range of pocket video cameras has long been a PC Pro favourite, marrying ease of use with excellent video quality at a reasonable price. The latest Flip UltraHD adds a couple of major new features to the armoury: image stabilisation and 50fps video recording.

Flip UltraHD (Third Generation) Review

The third generation of the Flip UltraHD brings smoother video, more flexible battery options and the ability to add third-party accessories.

Gyro-based anti-jitter; 60 fps smoothes out footage; 16-pin FlipPort allows third-party accessories; Runs on both lithium ion cell and alkaline AAA

Less natural color; less contrast than previous generation; No still image capture; Micro HD jack; no included cable or adapter; Too expensive for too few capabilities

Pure Digital Flip Ultra HD

The Good HD video at a still-affordable price. Good form factor; HDMI out is new. Very user-friendly hardware and software. Much more storage; longer recording than Mino HD. Replaceable battery. The Bad No optical zoom; same image quality as before. FlipShare is quick but still limited.

Flip UltraHD 8GB (3rd Gen)

The Flip defined the genre of the pocket Internet camcorder. But now there's plenty of competition in the format, and most of the traditional names in the camcorder business have joined in too. Nevertheless, the Ultra has developed incrementally.

Good low-light performance; 50 frames/sec shooting; Two hours of video storage

No 1080p recording; No analogue video output; No manual features

great for the low cost

I have a Flip Ultra 2nd Generation Model U1120P 2Hr Version...overall very pleased with it...would recommend...

light; small; cheap; takes great videos even if fairly low lighting levels exist...much better than some more expensive cameras..

works without a problem for years...now freezes up now and again...works ok for a while after being reset by battery removal for a couple of days or longer...still takes great videos for up to 2 hours if memory is dumped to your computer regularly..

Flip UltraHD and MinoHD third-generation camcorders

With the Flip camcorder, what you record is what you get. There are no image adjustment options, and all footage is captured in the standard 720p HD resolution at 50 frames per second.
