Yesterday we posted on the two new video camera's from Pure Digital. The new Flip Ultra and UltraHD. Today a review unit arrived. It is a definite step up from the Flip units I have used before, and yet it retains the small size, ease of use and reasonable price. Let's take a look.

I really love this video camera! It's so sturdy and compact, I keep it in my purse. It definitely has better video quality than the flip mino, but not as good as a bigger camcorder .... but you can't carry around a bid 'ole camcorder as easily as you can the flip Ultra HD.

The Flip UltraHD is a solid handheld video camera. It's a stellar performer that is simple and quick to use. The inclusion of the FlipShare software makes it a step above the many of the other handheld options out there.

The Flip UltraHD is unlike any other pocket camcorder we've reviewed off late. It's simply a point-and-shoot camcorder and though it might not change the way we record videos it surely is one of the simplest "point and shoot" camcorders you can get your hands on.

Flip was largely responsible for kick-starting the popularity of easy-to-use mini camcorders. Being both pocket-sized and cheap, these can be taken almost anywhere, including environments where you wouldn't want to risk a more expensive model, such as the beach, for example.
