great for the low cost

4.0
Pros: light, small, cheap, takes great videos even if fairly low lighting levels exist...much better than some more expensive cameras..
Cons: works without a problem for years...now freezes up now and again...works ok for a while after being reset by battery removal for a couple of days or longer...still takes great videos for up to 2 hours if memory is dumped to your computer regularly..
Verdict: I have a Flip Ultra 2nd Generation Model U1120P 2Hr Version...overall very pleased with it...would recommend...

Pros: Very easily share videos with friends or on YouTube or Grouper, Ultra-simple operation, usually 1-click, Amazingly good MPEG-4 encoded video and audio quality, Hardware/software/uploading all integrated, Burn DVDs of your videos at numerous stores and chains, Runs a long time on AA batteries
Cons: Reliance on online hosting services, 1.4-inch LCD is a little small, Should include USB cable extender, Ours wasn't totally Vista-compatible

Flip UltraHD 8GB (3rd Gen)

3.5
Pros: Good low-light performance, 50 frames/sec shooting, Two hours of video storage
Cons: No 1080p recording, No analogue video output, No manual features
Verdict: The Flip defined the genre of the pocket Internet camcorder. But now there's plenty of competition in the format, and most of the traditional names in the camcorder business have joined in too. Nevertheless, the Ultra has developed incrementally.

Flip UltraHD and MinoHD third-generation camcorders

4.0
Verdict: With the Flip camcorder, what you record is what you get. There are no image adjustment options, and all footage is captured in the standard 720p HD resolution at 50 frames per second.

Flip UltraHD review

5.0
Verdict: Flip was largely responsible for kick-starting the popularity of easy-to-use mini camcorders. Being both pocket-sized and cheap, these can be taken almost anywhere, including environments where you wouldn't want to risk a more expensive model, such as the beach, for example.

Flip Ultra-HD

3.0
Verdict: The Flip UltraHD is unlike any other pocket camcorder we've reviewed off late. It's simply a point-and-shoot camcorder and though it might not change the way we record videos it surely is one of the simplest "point and shoot" camcorders you can get your hands on.

Excellent picture quality. Easy to use. Convenient. Pocket size.

5.0
Verdict: I had a Flip and destroyed it in a pool. I treasured that one but had a difficult time finding another. This product, although hard to find, was a perfect replacement. It's a different model but works exactly the same. It's perfect! Inexpensive too.

Pros: Easy to operate
Cons: Only x2 zoom and the software didn't work on my pc
Verdict: When I tried to play/share video on my pc, I kept getting error messages and had to re-install about 3 times. When I finally managed to get the clips to play (via Quicktime, not Flipshare) the image and sound didn't sync up. What a waste of time. I'm returning it today.

Love it!!

5.0
Verdict: I really love this video camera! It's so sturdy and compact, I keep it in my purse. It definitely has better video quality than the flip mino, but not as good as a bigger camcorder .... but you can't carry around a bid 'ole camcorder as easily as you can the flip Ultra HD.

Exceeds Expectations

4.0
Verdict: This camera shoots great video quality (720p), and is very easy to use. I'm very happy with this camera overall, the fact that you can use either the battery pack or two AA batteries really adds to its versatility. And the two hour recording time is plenty.
