Nice entry-level portable projector

This is a 1280 x 800 projector - it's amazing how little of an image fits into that space. How did we ever work with computer screens that small? :-) As an entry-level portable projector, it's great. The immediate switch-off is handy for quickly packing up at the end, as is the "audio-visual mute" button on the remote when you want people to look at you. All the buttons on the projector itself make sense and the selection of inputs on the back is great for portable use. Auto scan for image input works really well. Epson PowerLite 535W WXGA 3LCD Projector Review

If you're looking for a WXGA (1,280-by-800) projector with a short-throw lens, the Epson PowerLite 535W WXGA 3LCD Projector ($1,049) belongs on your short list. With a 3,400-lumen rating, it can throw a suitably large, bright image for a small to midsize room, and its short throw lets it project that image from close to the screen. Add in the 535W's ($1,046.80 at Amazon) excellent quality for data images and its highly watchable video, and it's an easy pick as our new Editors' Choice short-throw WXGA projector.
