The V8 is heavier than I expected but is very powerful and ready to use straight from the docking station. The different tools click on and off very easily. It would be good to have somewhere near the docking station to be able to keep the tools. I found emptying the waste container a little tricky.

I am a complete convert now to cordless vacuuming. I love this machine! It really works helping me keep up with my two cats. Who knew that there was so much hair and dust I love the well designed wall mount, but not all of the accessories fit on it. However, I do have two main complaints: 1.

Amazing vacume...love it...

When mounting the charging station using the wall plugs supplied I found the type of Philips head screws supplied were of the wrong type. The screws supplied had a long thread and then a non-threaded shaft before the screw head.

I was very happy initially. Suction is very good and quality of built is also excellent. But just after two years(when guarantee expired), I noticed that if I use 'Max' mode, it seemed like it lasted only few minutes. Since I used this vacuum as a second one, I didn't take too much notice.

This vacuum wasn't brand new. there was a thin layer of dust in the bin and there was no juice in the battery. Either it was returned or it's the bottom of the barrel. This is our third Dyson vacuumed we've bought so far as they break quite frequently but the wife still insists on them.

Buy it, you won't regret it! The filter blows out fresh, clean air and my house feels so clean. The suction is better than the old corded Dyson we own. Also, I purchased a generic name cordless vacuum but the filter blew out stinky, dirty smelling air and didn't suction up near as well as this one.

We had a Dyson V6 at our home in Canada, and when we moved to England we wanted a vacuum as good as or better than the V6 which we loved. The Dyson V8 is that machine! Cleans carpets and hard floors thoroughly and is easy to move around our 2 level house.

I've never had a handstick cordless before and it's awesome! I have my husband using it all the time! My son cleaned our car and the house is always looking good! I use the max power on the kids bedroom. You can feel it sucking up everything nasty in the carpet which is great.

Light weight and easy to use, I love this vacuum. I don't even need a corded vac anymore. Whilst it's great with fine dirt, dust and sand, it struggles to pick up any anything larger than a fly on hard surfaces. I find this very frustrating and unfortunate.
