This vacuum wasn't brand new. there was a thin layer of dust in the bin and there was no juice in the battery. Either it was returned or it's the bottom of the barrel. This is our third Dyson vacuumed we've bought so far as they break quite frequently but the wife still insists on them.

So flexible and light easy to get into lots of corners and much better to store than an upright ...; I wouldn't swap back that is for sure

My Dyson V8 is my pride and joy. I've mounted it on a wall in my laundry space and it is so easy to take off and put back on to use it. Suction is great, easy to empty, love all the attachments. You're getting quality here so it's worth the extra dollars.

I was very happy initially. Suction is very good and quality of built is also excellent. But just after two years(when guarantee expired), I noticed that if I use 'Max' mode, it seemed like it lasted only few minutes. Since I used this vacuum as a second one, I didn't take too much notice.

I've had quite an old dyson for years now and I was sick of lugging it around and taking it up several flights of stairs at home, the cordless is so light and easy to use, it makes it so much less time consuming and I didn't even realise how much dirt my old hoover wasn't picking up until I used...

The V8 is heavier than I expected but is very powerful and ready to use straight from the docking station. The different tools click on and off very easily. It would be good to have somewhere near the docking station to be able to keep the tools. I found emptying the waste container a little tricky.

We have a large house (6 bedrooms) with 3 dogs and 2 cats roaming free range. This vac is amazing - does an excellent job on our rugs and carpets which previously I had to get my big Dyson out to vac these areas - this honestly does as good a job on Max suction.

I am a complete convert now to cordless vacuuming. I love this machine! It really works helping me keep up with my two cats. Who knew that there was so much hair and dust I love the well designed wall mount, but not all of the accessories fit on it. However, I do have two main complaints: 1.

Not as good as the new Dyson V11 Absolute but the Dyson V8 Animal is a cheaper option and still a fantastic vacuum cleaner

Lightweight and manouevrable; Powerful suction; Cheapest Dyson V8;

Expensive; Some parts feel flimsy; Not as good as the Dyson Cyclone V10;
