We use it everywhere with easy to use attachments, on our carpet, our wood floors, steps, furniture, wall corners, baseboards, under beds. Makes cleaning quick because it's so lightweight, the powerhead rotates to get under bed and it holds its power charge so much longer than V6.

I don't know why I waited so long to purchase a Dyson. This is the best vacuum I have owned by far-- the suction is great. It's amazing how much dirt and other stuff it picks up from a carpet that looks 'clean', as well as from solid floors (tile and wood).

Great service from the team and I really enjoy the vacuum. It was pricey but with two cats it was necessary! No buyer's remorse here..

It's been a long road to get the Dyson handheld to this point. The early models, starting with the DC16 all the way back in 2007, already looked good and did a job, but they were underpowered, short-lived and a bugger to maintain.

Arrived yesterday, set up dock and put on charge, worked great for around 10 mins and then stopped working, now I have to faff around boxing and returning the dyson and I have holes in my wall from the mount.

I was in two minds as to whether to buy this or not as I already have a corded dyson vac but eventually opting to buy it. already after a few days it has made my life easier. So simple to use and the performance is every bit as good if not better than the corded ones.

I am a big fan of Dyson products, but I have had problems with the V8. If the MAX setting is used, the battery life is about 10 minutes. This is not enough time to clean my apartment. This week the V8 has stopped charging altogether. I'm waiting to hear from tech support about ways to fix this.

"Expensive,but a good product,would recommend if one can afford it,to purchase extra filters,the maintenance schedule states the filters should be washed every month,the drying period for the filters takes about 24hours,rendering the cleaner redundant for that period of time!!

I bought the V8 about a month and a half and am totally amazed at the amount of dirt that comes out of our carpet now. Really wasn't cleaning it with our other vacuum cleaner.
