Great Vacuum for Small Spaces!

My husband and I love this vacuum! We live in an industrial-style loft with mostly hardwood floors, and this Dyson fits our needs perfectly. The vacuum is easy to store (our loft doesn't have a lot of storage space!) and has the batter power to clean our entire loft.

Easy to empty; Easy to store; Easy to use; Lightweight; No Bags

Trigger-powered Operation

The DC59 Animal is a powerful, versatile cordless vacuum with outstanding suction

Dyson claims its latest flagship cordless vacuum cleaner, the DC59 Animal, is every bit as powerful as a full-size model thanks to a new 350W, digital V6 motor. The DC59 Animal offers impressively powerful suction, a lightweight, bag-less design and includes a detachable wand that offers excellent...

Dyson DC59 Animal

Handheld vacuum cleaners are known for convenience, not power. They're good to have for small spills and to clean up corners and under furniture, but if you want to really clean your floors, an upright is probably a better choice.

Lightweight; Useful for floors and corners; Plenty of accessories; Powerful for a cordless handheld vacuum; Floor cleaning head makes it as functional as an upright vacuum

Expensive; Short battery life

Dyson DC59 Animal Review

Some owners report that having to hold the trigger down for power can be a bit annoying. However, in previous Dyson stick vacs and handhelds this was a very common complaint while with the DC59 it is more of a passing comment.

Strong suction; Decent battery life; Compact and easy to store; Does a good job on pet hair; Easy to empty; Lightweight; Great for cleaning stairs; Attachments "click-fit" on/off easily; Attachments work well

Dyson Digital Slim DC59 Animal rechargeable vacuum review

You might be wondering, "Julie, what's up with all of these vacuum reviews that you've been posting lately" You're not alone, I'm also wondering why I keep saying yes to vacuum review offers. Maybe it's some deep seated need to make sure my carpets are clean.

Very good suction; Includes hand tools

Short battery life; Small dust cup; Have to hold the trigger while sweeping; Blows air in face

Dyson DC59 Animal Review

Is it possible to have corded power from a cordless vacuum? Well Dyson claims that the DC59, their latest cordless stick vacuum has that much power from its new 350W digital motor they call the V6. Mashable goes a step further saying that it runs 5 times faster than a race car. Just a few […]

Runs 6 minutes longer than the DC44; Powerful motor that produces 100 air watts at boost mode which is really close to the power of corded vacuums; A slightly larger dirt bin compared to previous Dyson; Wide motorized floor tool; Light; very ergonomic; Has two floor attachments that will; Filter can...

Very expensive; Short run time on boost mode; Even though; Can't stand on its own like other stick vacuums; Battery cannot be removed

Dyson DC59 Animal Review

Lightweight, a snap to maneuver and easy on the eyes, the cordless Dyson DC59 Animal is a surprising joy to use. It almost makes cleaning fun. Almost.

Lightweight; Balanced design; Surprisingly powerful; Docking station for easy storage

Trigger can tire the finger; Dirt bin has low capacity; Boost battery mode very limited

Dyson DC59 Animal

Brilliant. Very light. No having to plug in and cord not reaching. Takes I would say a tenth of the time to hoover. Worth every penny.

Dyson DC59

This vacuum is powerful and light weight, however, it runs out of battery power quite quickly.
