A large step for the genre

As a fan of these games and having played the prior titles, this is a large step for this genre in almost every aspect. These games are polarizing though, people love them or hate them, or think they are ok. If you love them or think theyre ok then you will enjoy ths game.

Storytelling at its finest

I brought this game. Knowing the past of the company with Beyond and Heavy Rain. And wasn't disappointed. The game is set in the future where personal Androids are the normal high tech gadget to have but what happens when they break there programming and learn they have sentience and emotions.

Great PS4 game

I absolutely love this game. The story is brilliant and is brilliantly put together. Every decision you make impacts the story and who survives. It's not often I rate games this high, but this game is brilliant. The only negative point is the fact the game is much more expensive with Littlewoods.

Stellar cast and great mechanics

I admit to not being aware of these actors before I played this game, but I had played Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls so based on the previews alone I preordered this one and it's my game of the year for sure.

Amazing game!

Pre-ordered this game for a while after seeing early concept videos and reviews, and was not disappointed. I actually looked forward to each play through to see all the different endings and how each story played out. Fingers crossed for a sequel in the future

"One of the best games I've played so far"

Phenomenal! Easily one of the best games I've played to date. Very engaging, emotional and fascinating. You grow to care for the character as you get into the game. The storytelling is very well done. Great soundtrack, great characters, amazing graphics.

Detroit: Become Human

Ever since Ridley Scott's Deckard had us asking whether androids dream of electric sheep we've found the concepts around sentience and man-made life to be among the most enthralling of sci-fi themes.

What does it mean to be alive - Detroit: Become Human review

Detroit: Become Human is a cinematic masterpiece, and easily the best work to date from developer Quantic Dreams. It's gorgeous, sounds beautiful, and the choices made here are impactful and introspective.

Among the best visuals on any platform to date; Gorgeous and moving score; Writing and decisions are insightful and impactful; Multiple playthroughs are encouraged; though the story is self-contained; Over a dozen hours per story run

Small bit of mip-mapping and the occasional framerate hitch; but not impactful for either; Dialogue choices are occasionally counter intuitive

Game Review: Detroit Become Human

Detroit: Become Human has been a long time coming and it's the next big hit from Quantic Dream since Beyond: Two Souls on the PS3 back in 2013, which was then released again for PS4 in 2015 along arguably my person favourite from the studio , Heavy Rain .

Three fantastic stories that entwine superbly; Great depth to multiple choice outcomes; You feel invested in all three stories; Awesome graphics and facial animation; Flow charts at the end of chapter offer worthy insight

Some clipping issues and invisible walls

"Detroit: Become Human does some things incredibly well, but it also has some problems with the way it tells its story." © 2018 Sony Interactive Entertainment, Quantic Dream. All rights reserved.

Absolutely top-notch visuals; stellar performances from the cast; great music; choices feel like they matter; in some respects it's perhaps the least Cagey David Cage game

Some occasional control awkwardness; unsubtle allegory to the civil rights movement in some plot points; still ultimately a David Cage game
