"Prepare to Die with Dark Souls III"

Prepare to die, again with the third entry in the brutal blockbuster action-RPG franchise. A dark and brooding fantasy adventure awaits players in a vast twisted world full of fearsome beasts, devious traps and hidden secrets. The embers of a once-proud kingdom set the stage for this new adventure.

challenging; interesting worlds to explore; graphics

too difficult at times

Dark Souls III

A wonderful (almost) conclusion to the series. Gameplay inspired by Bloodborne, incredibly rich lore and the distilled summary of the series. A fitting end on a high note, before the feeling of recycled designs and ideas set in.

The Dark Souls series has come a long way from a relative unknown to one of the biggest franchises in gaming today. With that rise to stardom has come a ma

Massive open world to explore; Gorgeous art design and lighting; Classic Dark Souls gameplay; A true challenge

Not all the different from previous games; Performance issues; Terrible targeting system

The only way is through.

Dark Souls III is a game of valleys and peaks, down through dungeons and up over castle walls. It's a plummet into places we shouldn't be--an escape from places we don't belong. But of course, we fight our way through the darkness, and find our way out.

Expert level design; Thrilling combat; Creative; challenging bosses; Beautiful setting with ample secrets

Redundant late-game bosses and areas; Inconsistent camera and lock-on

Dark Souls 3 Review

The latest Souls adventure actually takes a little while to click. For a while it feels as though you're playing a FromSoft game; a Souls game, and it's all fine and good, almost like putting on a pai

Incredible world building; Combat is still the best; Rewarding like few other games; The best co-op implementation so far

Frame-rate issues are persistent on console; Some bosses feel unfair; Way too many mimic-chests; Invasion latency is currently poor

Dark Souls III

Another year has come to pass, and yet another Souls game is coming out. It's a time when we're torn between emotions. On the one hand the franchise has been amazing, and we're always eager to get our hands on the next title, but on the other hand there is a lot of pressure to review a game that's...

Dark Souls III : From Software, do they really need an introduction?! The developers of the excellent Kings Field series on the PS1 (Think Arx Fatalis -type of game, first-person-console RPG), not forgetting their Armoured Core series of games and a little known game outside of Japan, during 2009,...

Dark Souls III Review

The PS4 version of Dark Souls III was primarily tested for the purpose of this review. This review will undoubtedly spoil many aspects of Dark Souls 3 (and 1, 2 and Bloodborne now that I mention it).

Dark Souls 3 Review

Before we begin, let's talk spoilers. Souls game players exist upon a spectrum between two types of gamer - explorers and tourists. Certainly these archetypes exist in all facets of gaming - witness the mad geniuses who to this day plumb the depths of what is possible in Super Mario - but they are...
